Jenece, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose by discovering how much joy I derive from watching people win and grow. My passion for helping others achieve their goals and stand in their truth is what drives me every day. I seem to have a natural gift for making people feel comfortable enough to share their secrets, fears, and accomplishments with me. Initially, I struggled with this gift, unsure if I had the right advice or answers. However, over time, I realized that my true calling and purpose was to be a builder—to support and guide others on their journeys toward success and self-discovery.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As a professional resume writer, I blend industry expertise with a personalized touch to create standout resumes. My mission is to craft documents that not only highlight your skills and experience but also tell your unique career story in a compelling way.

Understanding what hiring managers seek, I tailor each resume to showcase your strengths and achievements, presenting you as the ideal candidate. My process is highly collaborative, involving in-depth consultations to grasp your career goals and experiences, ensuring your resume reflects your professional journey authentically.

Beyond resumes, I offer services that include cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and other career-related documents, all crafted with the same dedication and attention to detail. I am passionate about helping clients succeed, whether they are recent graduates, seasoned professionals, or making a career change.

To expand our reach and provide more value, we started a podcast called “Beyond the Resume: Finding the Person Behind the Paper” and a blog called SignificantMe. These platforms allow us to delve deeper into career development and personal growth.

By providing high-quality, personalized writing services, I strive to help you open doors to new career opportunities and help you achieve you professional aspirations.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three of my most important qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge are:

Always Keep Learning: Embrace being teachable and stay curious. There’s always something new to discover.

Creativity: Your creativity is uniquely yours, and no one can take it away. Never be afraid to show the world your creative side.

Being a Great Listener: Truly, hearing others can make all the difference in understanding and connecting.

I began to cultivate these skills and qualities through my life experiences. Whether facing the good, the bad, or the ugly, there’s always a lesson to be learned. One scripture that guides me when things get topsy-turvy is Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” It’s a reminder that everything will work out for the best.

The only way to improve these skills is by living life, learning from every experience, and applying those lessons. Keep striving and growing, no matter what comes your way.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Firstly, I always turn to God. No matter the circumstance, He is always there to listen and guide me in the right direction. My husband is the second person I rely on when facing challenges. He encourages me, offers fresh perspectives, listens patiently, and gives sound advice. The best part is, he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. While I can be my own biggest critic, both God and my husband provide simple, straightforward ways to approach things, bringing me immense peace.
