Meet Jenn Jodouin

We recently connected with Jenn Jodouin and have shared our conversation below.

Jenn, so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?

Imagine this: I’m 27 years old, my body is dragging as I try to keep up with my daughter’s energy, and every single night feels like a battle between my exhaustion and my racing thoughts. It’s this strange limbo where I’m both wired and weary. I’d put my daughter to bed and look at the endless to-do list waiting for me. All I wanted to do was collapse onto the couch. Instead, I found myself scrolling on my phone late into the night, numbing myself with Netflix, feeling like I needed this little window of “me-time” to unwind.

Yet, no matter how many hours I spent “relaxing” with my screens, I never actually felt rested. In the mornings, it was the same struggle: prying myself out of bed, reaching for coffee after coffee, and feeling like I was failing as a mom, a partner, and myself. I kept telling myself that it was normal—just a part of mom life. After all, isn’t every mom exhausted? Isn’t every mom stressed? I’d convinced myself that being this tired was just the price of being a “good” mom, juggling all the responsibilities, trying to do it all.

But one morning, I woke up and realized I couldn’t keep living like this. My body was aching, my mind was heavy, and I felt so disconnected from myself. I could barely recognize the woman in the mirror. I knew something had to change—not just for me, but for my daughter. I didn’t want her growing up seeing a mom who was always stressed out, too exhausted to play, and constantly running on empty. I wanted to be the mom who was present, full of life, and patient, not just physically there but *really* there.

That’s when I started to dig into the real reasons behind my exhaustion. I found out that my hormones were off the charts—and I didn’t even know it. I learned that every time I reached for that phone or tried to squeeze in one more task before bed, I was keeping my stress levels sky-high. And that late-night scrolling? It was signaling my body that it was still daytime, even when it wasn’t. My body wasn’t making enough melatonin to help me sleep, and the exhaustion just compounded every single day.

But I wasn’t ready to give up. So, I started small. I stopped reaching for my phone before bed and instead focused on a wind-down routine that didn’t involve screens. I would brew myself a cup of herbal tea, read a book, or journal out my racing thoughts. It wasn’t perfect—there were nights I slipped back into old habits—but slowly, I started to notice a shift. My sleep got deeper, my mornings felt less brutal, and I found moments where I *actually* had energy throughout the day.

It wasn’t just about changing my bedtime routine, though—it was about understanding what my body was really trying to tell me. I learned how to support my hormones through nutrition, making sure I was eating balanced meals even when I felt too busy. I stopped skipping meals and started seeing food as fuel rather than an afterthought. I found ways to fit in short walks, even if it meant walking around the backyard while my daughter played.

Most importantly, I learned to give myself grace. I stopped chasing the idea of being the “perfect” mom and started listening to my body’s cues, letting myself rest when I needed it, and finding joy in the little moments again. I realized that taking care of myself wasn’t selfish—it was the very thing that allowed me to take care of my family. And I stopped believing the lie that this constant state of exhaustion was just “part of being a mom.”

Today, I still have busy days. I still have moments when my to-do list feels endless. But I’m no longer running on empty. I’m no longer just surviving—I’m thriving, and I’m teaching other moms how to do the same. Because if I could come back from that place of feeling completely drained, I know others can too.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share a bit more about my journey and what I do! I’m Jenn, the founder of *Healthy Living with Jenn J.*, where I’m deeply passionate about helping moms who feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in survival mode find their way back to a life of energy, balance, and joy. As a certified holistic nutritionist and women’s hormone health specialist, I focus on guiding moms through the process of balancing their hormones, transforming their nutrition, and creating sustainable habits—all without adding more stress to their already full plates.

My journey to this work came from my own experiences of being a mom who was beyond burnt out, struggling with the daily demands of motherhood while feeling like my body was constantly working against me. I faced hormonal imbalances, adrenal fatigue, and countless sleepless nights, all while feeling like no one truly understood what I was going through. After years of trial and error, I discovered how crucial our hormones are to everything from our energy levels to our mood, and how much control we actually have over our bodies when we know what they need.

That realization completely changed my life, and now I’m dedicated to sharing this knowledge with other moms who feel like they’re losing themselves in the chaos of everyday life. Through my *MomRevival Membership*, I teach moms how to create a life where they wake up feeling refreshed, where they have the energy to be present with their kids, and where they finally feel connected to their bodies again.

What’s most exciting about my work is seeing the incredible transformations my clients experience. It’s not just about helping them lose weight or sleep better (although those are huge wins too!)—it’s about watching them reclaim their confidence, enjoy time with their families, and feel proud of the example they’re setting for their children. I love that I get to play a part in helping these women realize that they don’t have to accept fatigue and overwhelm as just “part of being a mom.”

Currently, my focus is on expanding the reach of my *MomRevival Membership* to help even more moms experience these life-changing results. I’ve recently launched a new, free masterclass that teaches three simple yet powerful hacks to boost energy, improve sleep, and start feeling like yourself again in as little as 7 days. It’s been amazing to see how many moms are already seeing results just from implementing these steps, and it’s only the beginning.

I’m also working on new content and resources that address the deeper challenges moms face with hormonal balance, stress management, and finding time for self-care—even when life feels hectic. My mission is to create a space where moms feel supported, seen, and empowered to take control of their health, all while knowing they’re not doing it alone.

If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know, it’s that no matter how far gone you feel or how overwhelming your day-to-day life seems, there is a way to feel better, have more energy, and to start loving your life again. I’m here to help guide that journey, every step of the way!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, there are three qualities that truly shaped my journey: resilience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to listen to my body. Each of these has played a crucial role in helping me overcome the challenges of burnout, and hormonal imbalances, and building a business that allows me to support other moms on their own journeys.

1. Resilience:
Resilience was key for me, especially during the early days when I felt like I was struggling alone. I had to push through the countless nights of feeling exhausted and the frustration of not finding the answers I needed from traditional sources. Resilience allowed me to keep looking for solutions, even when it felt like nothing was working. It gave me the strength to keep going for my own health and for my daughter’s sake.

Advice for those starting out: Remember that setbacks aren’t the end of the road—they’re part of the process. You’re going to have days when you feel stuck or like you’re not making progress, but keep showing up. Resilience is like a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it gets. Celebrate small wins along the way, and don’t be afraid to pivot when something isn’t working.

2. A Willingness to Learn:
When I first started to understand how hormones, nutrition, and stress were affecting my energy and mood, I became a student all over again. I dove deep into learning everything I could about women’s health, nutrition, and the mind-body connection. It’s what led me to become a certified holistic nutritionist and a women’s hormone health specialist.

Advice for those starting out: Always stay curious, and don’t be afraid to seek out new information. In today’s world, we have access to so many resources, whether it’s books, courses, podcasts, or mentors. Identify the areas where you feel stuck and dive deep into learning more about them. And most importantly, be open to unlearning things that no longer serve you—sometimes, that’s where the real breakthroughs happen.

3. The Ability to Listen to My Body:
For a long time, I ignored the signs my body was giving me. I thought that pushing through the fatigue and keeping up with everything on my to-do list was just part of being a mom. But eventually, I learned that listening to my body’s signals was the key to finding balance. It allowed me to recognize when I needed rest, when my stress levels were too high, and how to adjust my nutrition and routines to support my well-being.

Advice for those starting out: Developing this skill takes time, especially if you’ve spent years pushing through or ignoring your needs. Start by building in small moments of mindfulness throughout your day—check in with yourself when you wake up, before meals, or right before bed. Ask yourself simple questions like, “How am I feeling right now?” and “What does my body need today?” The more you practice, the better you’ll become at recognizing the signals your body is sending you. And trust me, your body *always* knows.

For anyone starting out on their journey, remember that each of these qualities is something that can be developed over time. You don’t need to have it all figured out right away. Focus on building resilience through small wins, stay curious and open to learning, and most importantly, give yourself the grace to listen to your own needs. That’s where true transformation begins.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a mom who is exhausted from juggling it all but knows that there’s a better way to live, even if she’s not sure where to start. She’s between the ages of 26 and 45, and she’s been pushing through each day, running on caffeine and sheer willpower, trying to balance the endless responsibilities of motherhood, work, and everything else life throws at her. But deep down, she’s yearning for a change. She wants to wake up feeling refreshed, to have the energy to enjoy moments with her kids, and to feel like herself again—connected, vibrant, and at peace with her body.

She’s the type of person who’s tried to solve her struggles before. Maybe she’s seen doctors, tried various supplements, or followed the advice she found online. But despite all the effort, she still feels stuck. She’s tired of hearing that feeling run down is just “part of being a mom,” and she’s ready to find real solutions that work for her unique body and lifestyle.

What makes her an ideal client is her openness to learning and her desire for holistic solutions. She’s ready to understand how her hormones, nutrition, and habits are affecting her daily life, even if the science feels a little intimidating at first. She’s committed to making small changes and knows that real, lasting transformation doesn’t happen overnight. She’s looking for a step-by-step approach that fits into her busy life, one that doesn’t add more overwhelm but instead simplifies the path to better health.

She’s also a woman who values community and connection. She doesn’t want to do this alone anymore—she wants to be part of a supportive group where she can share her wins, struggles, and questions without judgment. She’s looking for a coach who’s been in her shoes, someone who gets the challenges of motherhood, hormonal imbalances, and burnout, and can guide her with empathy and real-world solutions.

Above all, my ideal client is someone who’s ready to prioritize herself again, not just for her own well-being but because she knows that when she’s at her best, she can give so much more to her family. She wants to be the mom who can keep up with her kids, enjoy time with her partner, and feel proud of the example she’s setting for her family. She might not have it all figured out yet, but she’s ready to take the first step, and she’s looking for a coach who will meet her where she’s at.
