Meet Jenn Marie

We were lucky to catch up with Jenn Marie recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenn, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

I started liking Hello Kitty when I was a young girl, and I’m still very much a fan of the beloved Sanrio character. This is evident in my blog, Hello Foodie Jenn. Hello Kitty is said to “speak from the heart,” and, similar to my favorite character, I like to think that I write from the heart as well. My optimism comes from a desire to share good experiences and happy moments that have been meaningful to me.

Hello! I’m Jenn Marie, a food and lifestyle blogger and content creator. I’m the writer behind Hello Foodie Jenn, a blog I started back in 2012. My content ranges from stories about my travels to reviews of the newest restaurants in the city, as well as details about the latest events around town. My blog has a Hello Kitty theme, inspired by my love of all things kawaii!

By day, I’m an engineer, and I truly enjoy the technical aspects of my profession. Blogging serves as my creative outlet—a way to balance my analytical side with a passion for creativity. Through this is a hobby, I get to indulge in one of my greatest joys: writing.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my blogging journey are my love of writing, curiosity about new places, and appreciation for travel.

Love of Writing: I have always loved writing! I was a news editor for my high school newspaper and was part of the Daily Bruin Electronic Media team while at UCLA. My passion for writing allows me to share stories and experiences that are meaningful to me.

Curiosity about New Places: My desire to discover new restaurants drives much of my blog content. I’m always on the lookout for the newest cafes and restaurants around town, and I love being able to try these spots and share them with my readers.

Appreciation for Travel: My love of travel has inspired me to dive into new cultures, cuisines, and experiences, adding depth and variety to my blog.

I love collaborating with kawaii brands and the cutest restaurants in town! Whether it’s showcasing the latest adorable product, discovering a cozy new coffee spot, or trying a delicious new restaurant, I’m always excited to support brands that bring a sense of fun and charm.
