We were lucky to catch up with Jenna Vasquez / Lori Santine recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jenna / Lori , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

At Poppy Road Digital Strategies, much of what we do revolves around managing the public image of several clients. Our confidence and self-esteem as a company stem from the successes we’ve achieved for our clients. Every victory, whether it’s a successful campaign or a significant boost in a client’s visibility, reaffirms our capabilities and fuels our confidence.

Additionally, a significant part of our confidence comes from the strong support system within our team. We make it a point to lift each other daily, celebrate each other’s successes, and provide constructive feedback. This positive environment helps us grow both individually and collectively.

Confidence is built over time. We believe it is important to celebrate achievements, learn from our challenges, and surround yourself with a supportive network. Your confidence will grow as you continue to push forward and achieve your goals.

Founded in 2021 by Jenna Vasquez and Lori Santine, two passionate and coffee-loving friends with extensive backgrounds in marketing, communications, and digital media, we are committed to helping companies like yours achieve digital media success.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Reflecting on our entrepreneurial path, the ability to pivot, build a strong team and start each day with a prayer has been instrumental. When we first launched Poppy Road Digital Strategies, we couldn’t have imagined the degree of flexibility we would need. Being able to pivot—whether it’s adapting to market changes or client needs—has truly been a game-changer.

Adding to that, the importance of surrounding ourselves with a capable and dedicated team cannot be overstated. We realized early on that strong people are the backbone of any successful enterprise. Their diverse skills and perspectives have been key to our growth.

The advice we’d give is to show yourself and others grace. The entrepreneurial path is filled with highs and lows. There will be mistakes and setbacks, but these are learning opportunities. Approach each day with a spirit of forgiveness and resilience.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When we feel overwhelmed, our first step is to acknowledge it. It’s important to be aware of our emotions and not just push through blindly. One beneficial strategy is what we call “resetting the moment.” Sometimes, stepping away from our desks, taking a short walk, or even just breathing deeply for a few minutes can completely change our perspective and bring us back to a more centered state of mind.

Strong communication is also key when a day is overwhelming. We have built a solid foundation of trust, and we lean on each other whenever we need to. We openly voice our concerns and discuss any issues we’re facing. This not only alleviates individual stress but also fosters a collaborative atmosphere where we can tackle challenges together.
