Meet Jennapple

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennapple. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with jennapple below.

Jennapple, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I struggled with obesity from a very young age. Onset a hair pulling disease that left me bald, as well… so I didn’t really catch any eyes until probably my 20’s when I lost weight and stopped pulling my hair out.

I have spent many years working very hard on myself, my mind, heart, and body. I know how hard I have worked and the glow up is real!

I am more confident and better looking than I have been my whole life and I absolutely deserve to feel this way.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an artist in residence with myself right now.

I have new music coming out soon, new videos I am editing to release, and even more special; I am launching a fragrance line.

I’ve been working with a team to create, bottle, and sell two unique , vintage fragrances.

We are looking to launch by Valentine’s Day, and should have samples by Christmas.

“jeanaé XFM” and “jeanaé XM”
One is more feminine and one is more masculine , but both are designed to be unisex because anyone can wear whatever they want to wear.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think one important quality is discipline. You have to reach goals in this business and without discipline you will never get there. You have to make yourself go to the gym, spend time working out the chords of a new song, practice your guitar.

These are things we can generally neglect because of being busy and full of excuses, myself included.

Next quality is patience. It doesn’t always work out the way we want it to, or in the time frame we expected, but we are not the designers of our fate. So we should just be patient with the journey.

Lastly, I think it’s a combo of persistence and grace. You have to keep going, keep pressing, even when times get rough and the journey isn’t that beautiful, but give yourself some grace, it’s not easy!! Be proud of efforts you put in , they will eventually pay off!!!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am currently co-writing with 3 people here, and look forward to doing more of that. I expect my journey will lead to many more collaborators, especially in the rap and hip hop world, as I am coming into fruition with my new style of rap. I call it modern day iambic pentameter! 🙂

My next single called “Planet Fitness” will take you back to Brooklyn in 1987, and I can imagine there are some fun writers in this town who would love to get together to write another banger.
