Meet Jennie Blackwood

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jennie Blackwood a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jennie, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Honestly, my purpose found me in the middle of chaos. I was eight months pregnant, exhausted, and staring down the reality that I might have to go back to a 9–5 I didn’t love. I wanted more than anything to be a present mom while still contributing to my family in a meaningful way.

Starting my first charcuterie bar was born out of equal parts necessity and a fire in my gut that told me I was meant for more. What started as “let’s just try this” quickly became the thing that allowed me to pay off debt, support my family, and create freedom I never thought possible.

The more my business grew, the more I realized my purpose wasn’t just about my own success—it was helping other women see that they could do it too. Too many people stay stuck because of fear or lack of knowledge. My mission became clear: show women exactly how to build businesses they love, give them the confidence and tools to do it, and be their biggest cheerleader along the way.

Purpose, for me, isn’t one single moment—it’s been a journey of saying “yes” to scary opportunities, refusing to settle, and building a life I’m proud of.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m Jennie Blackwood – a serial entrepreneur, business coach, and the founder of Social Graze, my mobile charcuterie bar business that completely changed my life. What started as a simple idea while I was eight months pregnant has grown into a six‑figure company, multiple digital guides, and a coaching program called Cart to Cashflow that has helped hundreds of women launch their own successful businesses.

What makes my work so special is that it’s not just about charcuterie—it’s about freedom. I get to help women, many of them moms like me, create businesses that give them flexibility, financial independence, and the confidence to know they can do hard things. Seeing my clients go from “I don’t even know where to start” to “I just booked my first $1,000 event!” never gets old.

Right now, I’m especially excited about the launch of my new Jennie Blackwood Coaching Community app, which is a space for aspiring and current entrepreneurs to get the tools, resources, and support they need to grow. It’s packed with guides, workshops, and expert sessions designed to make business ownership feel doable instead of overwhelming.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: show women that you don’t have to settle. You can build a business that lights you up, gives you freedom, and completely changes your life—just like I did.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three biggest qualities that shaped my journey were:

Resilience – Entrepreneurship will test you over and over again. There were moments I could’ve quit, especially when I was pregnant, exhausted, and barely scraping by. But I kept showing up even when it was hard. My advice? Build resilience by taking messy action. You’ll never feel 100% ready—start anyway, learn as you go, and don’t let setbacks define you.

Resourcefulness – I didn’t have fancy investors or a giant budget when I started. I figured things out, Googled everything, and made the most of what I had. For anyone starting out, embrace problem‑solving as a skill. The ability to pivot, get scrappy, and find solutions is worth more than any degree.

The Willingness to Be Seen – Putting myself out there on social media changed everything. People connect with you, not just your product. My advice: stop waiting until it’s “perfect.” Show up as you are, tell your story, and let people see the heart behind your business. That’s what builds trust and ultimately drives success.

If you can build these three qualities—resilience, resourcefulness, and visibility—you can figure out the rest along the way.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who knows deep down they’re meant for more but just need the roadmap and confidence to get there. Most of the women I work with are moms or 9–5ers who are tired of trading all their time for a paycheck and want freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment.

What makes them ideal isn’t that they have it all figured out—it’s that they’re ready to take action. They might be nervous or unsure, but they’re willing to learn, put in the work, and trust the process.

I love working with women who are passionate, coachable, and driven by the “why” behind their business—whether that’s creating financial freedom, being more present for their kids, or simply building something that lights them up.

If you’re ready to bet on yourself, take messy action, and stop settling for “good enough,” you’re my kind of client.
