Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Adamson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose didn’t arrive all at once—it revealed itself through both disruption and devotion.
Years ago, I had what most people would consider a dream career. I was consulting Fortune 500 companies, earning a six-figure salary, and climbing the ladder of success. But beneath the surface, I was exhausted, disconnected, and burned out. I was living according to everyone else’s definition of success—and losing myself in the process.
I remember sitting in my corner office one day, completely drained, and hearing that quiet but unshakable voice whisper, “This isn’t it.” That moment cracked something open in me. I didn’t have a plan, but I had a knowing.
That knowing eventually led me to become a registered nurse—something radically different, but deeply aligned with my desire to serve and make a tangible difference. During the height of the COVID-19 crisis, I led a team of 75 frontline nurses. I was no longer just checking boxes—I was holding space for humanity at its rawest, most sacred edge. I sat with patients in their final moments when their families couldn’t be there. In those sacred spaces, I heard the deepest regrets and the clearest wishes: “I wish I had let more love in. I wish I had lived more.”
That was the turning point. I realized I wasn’t here to climb ladders. I was here to help people rise—to step out of survival mode and into a life that actually feels like theirs.
Now, as a high-performance and embodied leadership coach, I help ambitious, purpose-driven women (and a few smart men!) create the clarity, energy, and confidence to lead their lives and work with heart on their own terms.
Finding my purpose wasn’t about having all the answers. It was about having the courage to listen when something deep inside whispered, “There’s more for you than this.” And then following that whisper, one brave step at a time.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief: that when leaders reclaim their spark, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and release the limiting patterns that once held them back, they can change not only their lives—but entire communities, companies, and systems.
After spending years consulting Fortune 500 companies and later leading frontline nurses during the COVID-19 crisis, I’ve seen firsthand how burnout, imposter syndrome, and emotional exhaustion chip away at even the most brilliant and committed leaders. Today, as a high-performance and leadership coach, I help ambitious professionals move from survival mode into clarity, confidence, and sustainable impact. My work blends mindset, emotional regulation, somatic awareness, and strategic leadership to help my clients lead with more authenticity, vitality, and presence.
One of the most exciting things happening in my world right now is that I’ve been asked to speak more often—keynoting at national conferences, leadership events, and rooms full of entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals. It’s been an honor to take the stage and help people reconnect to purpose, courage, and what I call the “heartbeat of resilience.”
In response to this growing momentum, I’ve recently developed a new coaching program for thought leaders who are ready to expand their voice and visibility in a bigger way—whether that’s through speaking, writing, or simply standing more powerfully in their message. Because the truth is, the world doesn’t need more polished perfection—it needs bold, real, heart-centered leadership. That’s what I help cultivate.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three things have made the biggest impact in my journey: a strong spiritual connection, courage, and emotional intelligence—especially when it comes to communication.
First, cultivating a spiritual connection gave me the grounding and trust to navigate uncertainty. I had a spiritual awakening that helped me realize I wasn’t living in alignment. That connection now serves as a source of strength, reminding me I’m supported by something bigger than myself—even when things feel unclear or messy. It helps me move forward with faith, not fear.
Second, courage. So many people believe they need to feel confident before they take action—but confidence is the result, not the prerequisite. It’s courage that moves the needle. You can feel shaky, unsure, even scared, and still choose to show up. Some of my most powerful moments came when I did something afraid.
Lastly, emotional and social intelligence—especially the ability to communicate with clarity and compassion—has been invaluable. Whether I’m speaking one-on-one or to a room full of leaders, the ability to tune in, read subtle cues, and really connect has made all the difference. It’s not about being the loudest voice—it’s about being the most attuned.
For those just starting out: nurture your inner world, practice brave action even when you’re not “ready,” and become a student of connection. Those are the real superpowers.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a high-achieving professional who’s done everything “right” on paper—successful, driven, and deeply committed to growth—but inside, they’re feeling disconnected. They might be stuck in survival mode: overworked, burned out, or quietly wondering, “Is this all there is?”
What makes someone ideal for my coaching isn’t perfection—it’s willingness. A willingness to get honest, to explore what’s no longer working, and to rewrite the patterns that are keeping them stuck. Deep down, they know they’re meant for more—not more pressure or productivity, but more meaning, more freedom, more energy, more joy.
They’re ready to stop pushing through and start leading from a place of alignment—where fulfillment, clarity, and sustainable success become possible. They don’t shy away from the inner work because they know it’s the key to unlocking the next level of their leadership, their life, and their impact.
If you’re craving more ease, authenticity, and purpose—and you’re ready to reclaim your spark—we’ll work beautifully together.
