Meet Jennifer Aguilar

We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Aguilar recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

My confidence comes from my mom. She immigrated from Guatemala and worked overnight shifts, sometimes seven days a week, to make sure my brother and I had everything we needed. Watching her show up every day with strength and love gave me a blueprint for resilience. I used to say I’m just “delusional” I fake it till I make it. But over time, I realized that even if I don’t fully believe in myself, being myself is enough. I don’t have to be perfect. Just real. That’s what people connect with, and that’s where my confidence truly comes from. I carry my mom’s strength with me in everything I do.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a streamer, cosplayer, and con-goer who’s all about connection, creativity, and making people feel seen. On Twitch, you’ll find me as @suprweeniehutjr, where I stream games and have real, unfiltered conversations. I also love cosplay. It’s how I express my passion for anime and fandom while connecting with others who love the same things. Whether I’m behind the controller or in front of the camera, I bring my full, authentic self every time. What makes my brand unique is that I always show up as me. Right now, I’m focused on growing my Twitch channel and expanding into more content like cosplay features, convention coverage, and collaborations with other creatives. My goal is to create spaces where people feel safe, inspired, and like they truly belong.
Gaming is just one piece of who I am. But it’s the piece that taught me discipline, strategy, and how to fight through every level life throws at you. I carry those lessons with me into everything I do from streaming and content creation to the way I show up at conventions and connect with people online.
Being casted part of Season 2 of Making It in the ATL on MinolaTV is an honor. It’s a chance to tell my story and show what making it really looks like the work, the growth, and the heart behind it all. If that inspires even one person to do the same, then I know I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to do.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Even though I’m still early in my journey, I’ve found three qualities that I hold myself accountable to every day: being consistent, stepping out of my comfort zone, and never stopping learning. For anyone just starting out, I’d say: be patient with yourself, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to take risks or make mistakes. Growth is a journey, not a destination.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

The biggest shift in my life came after my dad passed away. It was one of the most unexpected and painful things I’ve ever faced. Losing someone who felt like my protector forced me to grow in ways I wasn’t ready for. I had to step into a more “adult” version of myself. Making decisions, handling responsibilities, and pushing through a lot of things that made me uncomfortable. I’ve faced some of the most heartbreaking moments, but life doesn’t pause. Through it all, I’ve learned how to keep moving forward, even when it hurts. That kind of growth isn’t pretty or perfect, but it’s real. And it’s made me stronger than I thought I could be.
