Meet Jennifer Charbonnier

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Charbonnier. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jennifer, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

Being the only one in the room who looks like you can be both a challenge and an opportunity. Your effectiveness and success in these situations often come down to a few key strategies:
1. Owning Your Expertise – Confidence in your knowledge and experience allows you to command respect, regardless of who is in the room. Your background in holistic healing, your track record with clients, and your ongoing education give you a unique perspective that others may not have.
2. Authenticity – Staying true to your values and approach, rather than trying to conform to the room, can make you stand out in a powerful way. Your journey into holistic healing began because of personal experiences, and that authenticity resonates with those who are seeking alternative solutions.
3. Building Bridges – Being the only one in the room can mean you have an opportunity to educate, influence, and connect with others in ways they might not have experienced before. You’ve already done this by helping clients transition from traditional medications to holistic approaches.
4. Resilience and Adaptability – You’ve likely faced skepticism or resistance, whether from medical professionals, potential clients, or even family members who don’t understand holistic healing. Your ability to stay the course and adapt your approach while maintaining your mission has contributed to your success.
5. Creating Your Own Space – When existing systems don’t fully support your vision, you’ve carved out your own path. By educating yourself and growing your business, you’ve built credibility and impact, proving that success isn’t about fitting in but rather about standing out with purpose.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I specialize in holistic healing, focusing on guiding individuals toward natural health solutions through nutrition, vitamins, and alternative therapies. My journey into this field began nearly a decade ago when my daughter was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional medicine, I sought alternative approaches that ultimately transformed her health. As I shared her progress, people began reaching out for guidance, which led me to formally support others in their healing journeys.

What excites me most about this work is witnessing real, tangible change—seeing people regain energy, improve their conditions, and break free from the cycle of relying solely on FDA medications. I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals with type 2 diabetes reverse their condition, as well as supporting clients with ADHD, autoimmune diseases, hormonal imbalances, and more. My approach is deeply personalized—I start by reviewing recent lab work, understanding my client’s history and goals, and crafting a tailored regimen that aligns with their body’s needs.

Beyond my work with clients, I’m also furthering my education in metaphysical sciences, pursuing my bachelor’s, master’s, and eventually a doctorate. This journey not only enhances my personal growth but also allows me to deepen the support I provide to those seeking healing beyond just the physical.

I’m excited about upcoming expansions in my work, including potential new services that integrate deeper metaphysical healing techniques alongside nutritional guidance. I also continue to be available for consultations and ongoing client support, ensuring that those who seek alternative healing have a knowledgeable and compassionate guide.

For anyone who has felt unheard or frustrated with traditional medicine, I want them to know that there are other paths to healing—ones that honor the body’s natural ability to restore balance. My mission is to be a resource for those looking to take control of their health in a more holistic, empowering way.

In addition to holistic healing, I also create macramé jewelry, chakra sets, and offer tarot readings. These elements complement my work by helping individuals connect with their energy, find balance, and gain deeper insight into their spiritual and emotional well-being. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted with intention, designed to support healing and energetic alignment. My tarot readings provide guidance and clarity, offering a space for reflection and personal growth.

As I continue expanding my work, I look forward to integrating more offerings that blend natural healing, energy work, and metaphysical insights to support those on their journey to wellness and self-discovery.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three key qualities and skills have been most impactful in my journey:

1. Intuition & Deep Listening

Impact: My ability to listen deeply—both to my clients and my own intuition—has been crucial. Holistic healing isn’t just about lab results or symptoms; it’s about understanding the whole person, their energy, their story, and what their body is communicating.

Advice: For those just starting, practice active listening. When speaking with someone, focus on truly hearing them without immediately thinking of a response. Meditate or engage in self-reflection to strengthen your intuitive abilities. The more you trust your inner guidance, the more attuned you’ll be to others.

2. Resilience & Adaptability

Impact: Transitioning into holistic healing, especially when it goes against conventional medicine, has required me to stay firm in my beliefs while also being open to learning and evolving. There have been skeptics, challenges, and moments of doubt, but resilience has kept me moving forward.

Advice: Build resilience by continuously educating yourself and surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who support your journey. Read, take courses, and connect with mentors who inspire you. When setbacks happen, see them as lessons rather than failures.

3. Knowledge & Continuous Learning

Impact: Understanding nutrition, alternative therapies, energy healing, and metaphysical sciences has allowed me to create holistic plans tailored to my clients’ needs. But knowledge isn’t static—it’s something I’m always expanding on.

Advice: Stay curious and never stop learning. Whether it’s taking courses, attending workshops, reading research, or exploring new healing modalities, staying informed will give you confidence and credibility. For those new to this field, start with the basics—learn about nutrition, herbal medicine, energy work, or any area that resonates with you. Over time, you’ll develop your unique approach.

Final Thought:
No matter where you are in your journey, trust that your path is unfolding exactly as it should. Growth comes from experience, so embrace the process, stay open to learning, and lead with your passion.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

There isn’t just one person who has been the most helpful—it’s been a combination of influences along my journey. However, a few key sources of support and guidance stand out:

1. My Daughter and My husband

Impact: She was the reason I started down this path in the first place. Her diagnosis of Hashimoto’s pushed me to seek alternative healing methods when conventional medicine wasn’t providing the answers we needed. Watching her transformation and healing firsthand gave me both the motivation and confidence to help others. The support of from my husband has been so unbelievable amazing! He is definitely my biggest fan!

Lesson: Sometimes, challenges are actually gifts in disguise. They push us toward growth, knowledge, and purpose.

2. The Clients Who Took a Chance on Me

Impact: Each person who trusted me with their health, even when holistic healing wasn’t widely accepted in their circles, helped me refine my skills. Their feedback, progress, and stories reinforced that this work matters and that natural healing is both possible and powerful.

Lesson: Experience is the best teacher. Working with real people, adapting to their needs, and seeing the results firsthand is what truly deepened my knowledge.

3. Holistic Healers, Mentors, & Educators

Impact: Whether through books, courses, or direct mentorship, learning from others in the field has been invaluable. Their research, experiences, and guidance helped me avoid mistakes, deepen my understanding of the mind-body connection, and develop a well-rounded approach to healing.

Lesson: Never stop learning. No matter how much you think you know, there is always more to uncover.

Advice for Others:
Surround yourself with people who challenge and inspire you. Learn from those who have walked the path before you, and don’t be afraid to step into the unknown—sometimes, the greatest wisdom comes from personal experience.
