We recently connected with Jennifer Izaguirre and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Great Question! To me, finding one’s purpose is about discovering what gives your life meaning and direction, exploring your passions and finding your strengths.
I have had many purposes in my life. I have had the purpose of being a supportive military wife. I have had the purpose of being the best mom I could be. There were times when my purpose was just to survive, one foot in front of the other. These and more have helped me discover who I am, helping me identify my resilience and fortitude.
Through my self-discovery, I know that I love helping people. I have always helped others. From a peer counselor in high school, to charitable work, to leading groups that support the military, I found it was just natural to help others. After several medical issues, I was drawn to fitness and became a trainer and instructor. As I learned more and experienced the deep need for internal discovery within myself and my clients, I discovered energy healing.
It was through discovering energy healing that I truly started to understand my current purpose and passion. For the past decade I have become a regular at taking classes, courses and certifications in everything from Reiki, life coaching, mediumship, channeling, energy medicine, reflexology and more. All these courses have helped me discover more about my purpose and how I truly want to help people.
Now, as a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Life Coach, I love helping people help themselves in mind, body and soul. With this, I am passionate about empowering others to discover their own purpose and to fully embrace their lives.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hi. I am Jennifer Izaguirre. I have owned and operated my business, A Balanced Life, since 2017. I am a Quantum Energy Practitioner and Life Coach working with people in person as well as virtually. My business has definitely changed through the years, but one thing stays the same – I love helping people help themselves in healing.
Healing can look different to each individual. Healing may be about traumas you have suffered that hold up in the body. Healing can be physical such as chronic issues, disease or pain. Or healing can be about fear, limiting beliefs, grieving – and so much more. This is where my passion lies in helping others.
This year I have worked on stepping out and teaching more. Turns out I love to teach. I am proud to have created several classes that are now online for all to enjoy. Whether its teaching people about the energy in and around you as well as all the different types that enable them to heal in the Healer Within course, or helping people with anxiety (that’s a free course by the way) or the Sacred Renewal course that allows others to release the energetic gunk we hold in our bodies, I love bringing these courses to help guide others on their healing journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three areas of knowledge that have been very impactful on my life, my journey:
1. The art of allowing.
I used to feel I needed to control everything. From others’ actions and things they needed to do, to trying to control all aspects of my own life, etc. I felt I needed my hand in all the jars, and it was exhausting. I have learned (and continue to learn) that the more I tried to control things, the more chaotic my body, my nervous system, as well as my mind felt. The art of allowing is about not only understanding that everyone has their own path, decisions, choices, but also allowing myself to flow, to relax. This has allowed me to be more resilient and enjoy my life more.
2. Resilience.
No matter what I have been through, those things that have knocked me down, I always come back. I have learned and can now appreciate where I have been. Finding the path, the light through some of the darkest moments, I am resilient. Reminding myself to stay true to myself, my beliefs, deep into my soul. You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. You are resilient because you learn and grow from all of it.
3. Understanding energy.
Everything in and around us is energy. One example is our thoughts. Our thoughts are energy and when we have a lack mindset, our body and our mind respond. Continuous negative, demeaning, hurtful thoughts can wreak havoc on the body and mind creating imbalance, a weak system, as well as possible diseases. Learning that you are your own powerhouse. Taking care of your physical body as well as your mind to the best of your ability can help you create the life you want to live. Understanding energy, how it affects us and how to heal with it has been one of my most exciting and fun journeys.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
I love to read. I tend to read everything that can increase my understanding of life, spirit, healing, etc. Some of my favorite authors are Suzanne Geisemann, Louise Hay, and I love Matt Frasers new book. But one that really helps inspire me is Everything is Figureoutable, by Marie Forleo. Talk about inspirational!
In Everything is Figureoutable, Marie gives you action steps to help you define your dreams. She challenges you to break out of cycles and limiting beliefs. She discusses the two four-letter words that inhibit you: Can’t and Won’t. Marie states that these two words do not mean you really can’t or won’t, they mean you are not willing to or don’t want to, because everything is figureoutable. Take a moment to think about that one. I did.
One of my favorite quotes is “no matter what you are facing, you have what it takes to figure anything out and become the person you are meant to be.”
Marie also inspires you with “The world needs your special gift.” The gift of you can be something simple, and even if you don’t know what your “gift” is, the world needs you. I highly recommend this book.
