Meet Jennifer Owens

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Owens. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jennifer , thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

Generosity is something I didn’t learn from a book, it was lived out in front of me every day.

I grew up watching my grandparents and parents open their hearts and their homes without hesitation. My grandmothers, especially, had a way of making everyone feel like family. No one was ever turned away. If you showed up at their door, you were welcomed in, offered a seat, and fed a warm meal…no questions asked. Their homes were full of love, laughter, and the quiet understanding that kindness is meant to be shared.

I grew up with two brothers, and while we didn’t have a lot of money, we never felt like we were lacking. We had what mattered most: food on the table, a roof over our heads, and parents who showed us that generosity isn’t about how much you have, it’s about how much you’re willing to give. I learned early on that caring for others wasn’t optional; it was simply the right thing to do.

That foundation naturally led me into nursing, where compassion and service are at the heart of every day. Being a nurse allows me to care for people during some of their most vulnerable moments, and it reinforces everything I was taught growing up, listen, help, and show up with kindness.

Most recently, that same generosity has guided me into real estate. While it may look different on the surface, the heart of it is the same. Helping someone find a place to call home is about more than buying or selling property. It’s about understanding their needs, guiding them with care, and supporting them through an important chapter of their lives.

Generosity has always been part of my story, passed down through generations. It’s shaped who I am, how I serve others, and the way I approach every relationship whether professionally and personally. Generosity is learned through life and a choice you choose everyday. Remember to always be kind to those around you and show Grace and kindness everyday.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At the heart of everything I do is family, care, and service. I’m a proud wife and mom, and our home is made even livelier by our four fur babies, all dogs, who keep us laughing, grounded, and constantly reminded of the importance of unconditional love. Caring for others has always been second nature to me, and that passion has guided both my personal and professional journey.
Professionally, my background is in care management nursing, a role that has deeply shaped who I am today. I’ve spent years helping individuals and families navigate complex, often overwhelming situations with compassion, clarity, and advocacy. Supporting people during vulnerable moments, listening to their needs, and helping them find solutions that truly improve their quality of life is what I find most meaningful and rewarding.
That same heart for service is what led me into real estate. I am currently focused on my first full year in the industry, and I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to help others find not just a house, but a place they can truly call home. What makes my approach special is the care-driven perspective I bring to every client relationship. I pay particular attention to the senior population, assisting with downsizing, transitions, and moving needs while ensuring they feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout the process.
Whether I’m working with first-time buyers, growing families, or seniors navigating a new chapter of life, my goal is always the same: to make the experience as smooth, informed, and stress-free as possible. I believe real estate is about much more than transactions, it’s about people, trust, and building futures.
As I continue to grow my real estate business, I’m excited to expand my impact, deepen my connections within the community, and continue doing what I love most…helping others through life’s transitions with care, integrity, and heart.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are compassion, adaptability, and strong communication. Compassion has guided every decision I make, allowing me to truly listen and advocate for others, whether in healthcare or real estate. Adaptability has helped me navigate career changes and new challenges with confidence and resilience. Strong communication has been essential in building trust and making complex processes feel manageable for the people I serve. For those early in their journey, my advice is to lead with empathy, stay open to learning, and never underestimate the power of clear, honest communication, these skills grow with practice and will serve you in any season of life.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

If I knew I only had a decade of life left, I would live it fully anchored in faith. I would trust God completely with my days, believing that every moment, long or short, is already known and lovingly guided by Him. Rather than fearing the timeline, I would surrender it, choosing peace over worry and purpose over distraction.
I would spend that decade spreading the love of Jesus in the simplest, most genuine ways…through kindness, patience, forgiveness, and showing up for others when they need it most. I would try to live my faith out loud, not just in words but in actions, letting God’s love flow through me so others might feel seen, valued, and encouraged.
My family would be at the center of those years. I would travel with them, laugh often, and create memories that linger long after the moments pass. I would savor ordinary days just as much as special ones, knowing that love multiplies when time feels precious. I would choose presence over perfection and gratitude over busyness.
Above all, I would aim to leave a lasting impression rooted in love, on those who know me best and on those whose lives briefly intersect with mine. If I could be remembered for anything, it would be for my faith, my kindness, and my trust in God’s plan, knowing that when my time is complete, I lived it loving Him and loving others well.
