Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Vigil. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Jennifer with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I would say my work ethic comes from my upbringing and life experiences. Growing up, I watched my parents work hard to provide for our family, and that taught me early on the importance of dedication, responsibility, and perseverance. Their example showed me that success is not about luck but about consistency, faith, and showing up even when no one is watching.
As a single mother of three boys, I carried those values into my own life. There were no shortcuts, just determination and trust that everything I put my heart into would eventually pay off. I had to stay strong, disciplined, and focused on creating a better future for my family. That chapter of my life shaped the foundation of who I am today. It taught me how to balance patience with persistence and how to stay grounded while still dreaming big.
My journey as an entrepreneur, photographer, and soon to be creative producer has been built on passion, self discipline, and consistency. I am also furthering my education to strengthen my skills and bring more depth to my creative projects. Going back to school while managing my business has challenged me in the best ways and reminded me that growth never stops.
I have also learned that I was not built for a corporate 9 to 5 job. I knew I was meant to live life on my own terms, to create freely, and to design a path that aligns with my purpose. It is a challenge, but it is a good challenge the kind that pushes me to keep striving for the bigger picture that is meant for me.
Through my work, I have become an inspiration to others who want to break free from the traditional path and follow their dreams. My work ethic shines through everything I do because I refuse to give up, even when things get hard. This journey has been long and filled with ups and downs, but I still feel like I am just getting started. And you know what they say, “Rome was not built in a day.” Every step, every struggle, and every success has brought me closer to becoming the best version of myself, both personally and professionally.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am the founder of Inspiring Vibes Photography, a brand built around capturing authentic stories, meaningful connections, and the beauty of life through my lens. What started as a small passion project has evolved into a creative journey that allows me to blend photography, travel, and storytelling in ways that inspire others to see the world differently.
My work focuses on lifestyle, portrait, event, and travel photography, but what makes it special is the intention behind it. Every image is more than a photo, it is a moment frozen in time, filled with emotion, energy, and truth. I love creating experiences that allow people to see themselves in a new light, whether it is through a professional branding shoot, a milestone celebration, or a spontaneous travel adventure.
I am also deeply passionate about my landscape artwork. Traveling allows me to bring the beauty of this planet to life through my camera, capturing breathtaking scenes, vibrant cultures, and natural wonders for everyone to enjoy, especially for those who may not have the chance to travel to these incredible places themselves. Sharing these views allows others to experience the same sense of peace, awe, and connection to nature that I feel when I am behind the lens.
Alongside photography, I am expanding creatively into visual storytelling and film production. That part of my journey came from a very real place. I never just woke up one day and decided to make inspirational or transformational films. Life shaped me into that path. The things I lived through, the things I witnessed in others, and the stories people carry silently pushed me toward wanting to understand and express the depths of the human experience.
I have seen the places where people break and the places where they rebuild. I have seen silent trauma, heartbreak that changes a person, childhood wounds that turn into adult battles, relationships that destroy confidence, the weight of depression, anxiety that goes unseen, spiritual awakenings, rebirth after loss, and the courage it takes to start over from nothing. Instead of turning away from these realities, I leaned in.
That is why I chose to study psychology. I wanted to understand the why behind human pain and the why behind human resilience. I wanted to understand the mind so that I could tell stories that were not shallow or surface level, but stories that carried truth, depth, and emotional intelligence.
But understanding was not enough for me. I wanted to show it.
Picking up a camera gave me a language psychology could not. Film allows me to translate trauma and transformation into something people can feel. It allows me to honor resilience, explore darkness and light without judgment, and capture the moments that many people think they are alone in experiencing.
The themes I explore in my storytelling include addiction and recovery, abusive relationships, generational trauma, mental health battles, spiritual awakenings, self-discovery, rebuilding after heartbreak, finding purpose again, learning self-worth, escaping the nine to five life that drained someone’s soul, embracing personal growth, and rising after losing everything. These stories matter because they are not just entertainment, they are mirrors. People see themselves in them. They see their mistakes, their hope, their shadows, and their strength. They see that they are not alone and that healing is possible.
My mission is to give people what I did not always have, a voice, a safe place, a reminder, a spark of hope. I am developing transformational films because I truly believe that if people understood each other’s stories on a deeper level, the world would be kinder, more aware, and more human. My photography already supports that mission by capturing the beauty, emotion, and realness of life in a way that helps people feel seen.
Professionally, I am continuing to grow through education and experience while building a foundation that reflects both artistry and purpose. Being featured in VoyageUtah Magazine and now Bold Journey has been humbling and a beautiful reminder that perseverance pays off.
Looking ahead, I am focused on developing projects that highlight travel, culture, human stories, and personal transformation. My long-term vision is to create a platform that brings real life stories to the screen in meaningful and powerful ways. My intention is to use creativity as a bridge between art and awareness, to spark conversations that help people feel seen, understood, and connected.
It has been a long road, but every chapter reminds me why I started, to inspire others to live boldly, chase their dreams, and create a life they love.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I would say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been perseverance, creativity, and self-belief. Each one has shaped not only who I am as an entrepreneur and artist but also how I approach life and my purpose.
Perseverance has been everything. There have been moments when things did not go as planned, when obstacles seemed endless, and when I questioned if I was on the right path. But those challenges built strength and character. My advice for anyone starting out is to remember that success takes time. Stay patient with yourself and keep moving forward even when progress feels slow. Every small step still gets you closer to where you are meant to be.
Creativity has been my outlet, my freedom, and my voice. It is what allows me to see beauty and possibility in everything. For anyone looking to develop their creative side, I would say make time to explore what truly inspires you and do not be afraid to experiment. Creativity grows when you give yourself permission to express, make mistakes, and evolve.
Self-belief ties it all together. Believing in yourself is what keeps you going when no one else sees the vision. There were many times I had to remind myself that I am capable, that I have purpose, and that I am creating something meaningful even if it takes time to bloom. My advice is to trust your process and protect your mindset. Surround yourself with people and environments that uplift you and remember that confidence comes from action and consistency, not perfection.
These three qualities perseverance, creativity, and self-belief have carried me through every chapter of my journey. They continue to guide me as I grow both personally and professionally, reminding me that dreams do not work unless you do, but when you stay true to yourself, everything you work for eventually aligns.
