Meet Jenny Garufi

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jenny Garufi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jenny below.

Jenny, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I discovered my purpose through healing various aspects of my own life. The first area was my physical health. I was chronically ill for seven years, enduring constant pain. I had been told I would never recover and was diagnosed with four chronic conditions. However, I healed myself completely in just three weeks. That was 18 years ago, and since then, I have used similar techniques to heal all areas of my life.

I manifested a book deal with Llewellyn Publishing, and I also manifested the love of my life. After 10 years together, we recently got married. My journey has been one of continuous learning, driven by my passion to help others step into their gifts and become the highest version of themselves. This passion has led me to study over 15 types of energy work, including the Akashic Records and Shamanism. It has also inspired me to create simple mindfulness tools that people can use for their own transformation. I feel it is my life’s purpose to share these techniques with others. My newest endeavor to do that is the first book in my series, “Mindfulness Exercises for the Shower: Book 1: Begin or Deepen Your Mindfulness Practice with the Magical Element of Water.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an author, speaker, and mentor. I use tools like the Akashic Records and energy work to help people remove blocks and restrictions. I offer many simple tools that people can begin to implement in their own lives to heal the past and live more fully in the present.

My workday varies daily. A few days a week, I work with clients. This can include meeting for readings, mentoring sessions, or an hour of coaching combined with energy work. No two sessions are ever the same; we always focus on what needs the most attention and love at that moment.

I also dedicate time to writing. I recently released my poetry book, Soulful Alchemy: Transformative Poems for the Soul, and am launching the first book of my three-part series, Mindfulness Exercises for the Shower. My stories were featured last year in three books from the Common Sentience Series by Sacred Stories Publishing: “Signs” with Simran, “Akasha” with Lisa Barnett, and “God Talk” with Neale Donald Walsch.

For the past 18 years, my clients have told me that I feel like a good friend. I show up with a whole lot of love and no judgment. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate life as a human during these times.

It’s incredibly exciting to see people finally realize how amazing they are. I love watching them step into and embrace their self-worth. This transformation impacts people in different ways. For some, it’s about improving their relationships; for others, it may be focused on their health. I’ve seen clients heal from Stage 4 cancer, leave abusive relationships, and manifest their dream jobs or relationships. It’s all beautiful, and I feel deeply honored to be part of my clients’ journeys, watching them create lives that often surpass their wildest dreams.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three areas of knowledge most important in my journey were mindfulness, gratitude, and self-love.

Mindfulness is crucial because it helps you become aware of how you speak to yourself and your habits. When you notice these things, you can begin to change them. You can start responding mindfully instead of reacting from past wounds. This helps the relationship with yourself, which in turn helps your relationships with others.

Mindfulness allows self-love to begin to take root. You are not defined by your wounds. Everyone has experienced some form of trauma and loss. When you love yourself, you can start speaking to yourself as you would to a close loved one, rather than being your own harsh critic. You can appreciate the lessons you’ve learned and know that you always did the best you could in any given moment. You can also decide that life is going to get easier today. In every moment, you have the opportunity to become more mindful of how you speak to yourself and how best to support yourself.

Gratitude was essential in my healing. Humans have about 60,000 thoughts a day—95% of which are usually the same as yesterday’s, and about 80% are negative. When we shift our focus to gratitude, we allow magic to happen. Gratitude brings forth love and appreciation, and the energy that sends out is incredibly powerful. Gratitude doesn’t have to be for anything big—it can be for something as simple as having a comfortable pillow, enjoying a good meal, taking a pleasant walk, or spending time outside or with a friend. The more you practice mindfulness, self-love, and gratitude, the more your life can change.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

I love working with so many different kinds of people. My ideal client is open and knows there will be some work and self reflection involved in change but is not deterred by that. There will be laughter and there will be tears while we work together. There will be times it feels hard. But it is much harder to keep staying in circumstance that do not serve them. A client could have had a negative habit for 20 years but it will not take 20 years to change.. often in a few days or weeks things have shifted considerably. I want to work with people who will do some “homework”, knowing the work they put in will benefit them tenfold. I want to work with people excited for their lives to change for the better.
