We recently connected with Jerad Larkin and have shared our conversation below.
Jerad, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
For me, imposter syndrome was very real when I first started in sales. It’s a catch-22 — nobody wants to work with you in the beginning because you don’t have a track record, but the only way to build that track record is to actually get clients. I had to remind myself that “fake it till you make it” isn’t about being dishonest — it’s about showing up with confidence before you have all the proof.
I focused on two things: first, bringing massive value through education and resources so that people saw me as someone worth talking to even if I didn’t have years of experience behind me yet. Second, I leaned into consistency — teaching classes, hosting events, sending weekly emails, and just being present in my market. Over time, that consistency built the trust I needed, and the imposter feelings started to fade because the results spoke for themselves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m an Account Executive with Chicago Title Colorado, but what makes my work unique is that I don’t just focus on title insurance — I focus on helping real estate professionals grow their businesses. I teach 8–10 classes a month on topics like AI, social media, video, and marketing, and I host networking events that bring the real estate community together. What excites me is seeing an agent walk away from a class or event with something they can immediately put into action to win a client or close a deal.
I run MileHighTitleGuy.com, where I share weekly tools, resources, and marketing ideas for agents and lenders. Right now, I’m especially excited about the AI-focused classes and resources I’ve been building, since the demand from real estate professionals has exploded. If you’re in Denver, you’ll also see me hosting events designed to combine learning with networking — because I believe relationships are just as important as tools.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three most important things for me have been consistency, curiosity, and relationships.
Consistency matters because success doesn’t come from one big moment — it’s built from showing up every day, sending that extra email, hosting that extra event, and staying in front of people over time.
Curiosity has kept me growing. I lean into new tools, like AI and marketing platforms, not just because they’re trendy but because I want to understand how they can give my clients and partners an edge.
And relationships are everything. Real estate is a people business, so investing in genuine connections has opened doors and built trust faster than any ad campaign ever could.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is simple: be consistent even when results feel slow, keep learning so you stay ahead, and put people first.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes — I’m always looking to collaborate with people who serve the real estate community. That includes real estate agents, mortgage lenders, insurance partners, moving companies, and really anyone who adds value to the client experience. I love partnering with folks who think creatively, want to grow their business, and are open to trying new tools and strategies.
The best way to connect with me is through my website, MileHighTitleGuy.com, where you can subscribe for tools, resources, and invites to upcoming events. I’m also active on social media, so if you’re reading this and want to collaborate, reach out — I’d love to connect.
