We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeremiah Preddie. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeremiah below.
Jeremiah , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I would spend my weeks doing the same thing. Until one day I finally snapped out of that mindset and asked myself why I’m living a life I didn’t enjoy. I wanted more for myself wanted to see myself in different scenarios than the ones I would continuously put myself in. It took plenty of lessons and wrong turns before I found my purpose it wasn’t easy to find but a necessity for where I was in life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Growing up in my family music was always around. May have been hearing music from what my older siblings listened to or family gatherings blasting soca/calypso/ reggae/ and dancehall or even my grandfather teaching me how to play Steele Pan. From a young age I always loved the feeling music brought and the connection it created. Not knowing I would one day fully be invested In being an artist when I was younger football was my main focus until 2014 when I had graduated high school. It’s inspiring to look back and see how far I’ve came and how much of a distance I continue to take myself and my brand. January 13th I released my first EP “why did I keep u waiting” which is a mix of newly recorded songs and some songs I created in 2023. Following that I will be releasing singles every 3 weeks starting February. This year will be a productive year for the team and I and I’m excited for what’s to come.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Always be willing to learn ( keep and open mind)
2. Routine ( if that’s writing a song everyday just to create and keep your flow going)
3. Practice ( fall in love with perfecting you craft till it just comes to you naturally)

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My unc Asesn Townsend and other family members that already been through life before me and just passed down knowledge and game as I grew older.
