We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeremiah Terro. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeremiah below.
Jeremiah, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep my creativity alive by staying connected to life itself. Everything I go through the highs, the lows, the chaos, and the calm feeds into my art. I let myself feel it all and then translate that energy into sound. I don’t force it I just stay open, whether it’s through late night thoughts, random inspiration from a movie, or the vibe of a beat that hits my spirit. Creativity for me is like a flame you gotta protect it, but you also gotta feed it with new experiences, new sounds, and new perspectives. That’s what keeps my ideas fresh and my vision evolving.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I wear a few different hats in the creative world. I’m the founder of a clothing brand called Valley Shadow Demon, which is all about expressing raw individuality and turning darker, more rebellious energy into something wearable. On top of that, I run my own independent record label, Gbds Records, where I help artists develop their sound and connect with the audience that’s truly meant for them. What excites me the most is building platforms that give people the freedom to be fully themselves whether it’s through music or fashion. For me, it’s not just about creating products, it’s about creating culture.
Right now, I’m expanding both sides continuing to drop new designs with Valley Shadow Demon and working with upcoming artists through Gbds Records to bring their visions to life. My brand and my art are about awakening people to their potential and showing them that they don’t have to fit into anybody else’s box to make an impact.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful things for me have been:
1. Consistency – Talent is important, but showing up every day and putting in work is what separates dreams from reality. Even on days when I didn’t feel inspired, staying consistent kept the momentum alive.
2. Self-belief – There were plenty of times when people didn’t get what I was doing, but I had to trust my vision before anyone else did. That mindset gave me the strength to keep pushing forward.
3. Adaptability – The creative world is always shifting whether it’s music trends, fashion, or how people consume content. Learning to move with those changes without losing myself has been key.
For anyone just starting out, my advice is: focus on building discipline before chasing perfection. Don’t wait until you feel ‘ready’ just start, stay consistent, and let your skills grow with time. Believe in yourself louder than anyone doubts you, and don’t be afraid to adjust and learn along the way. Your uniqueness is your power protect it and keep sharpening it.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I think your strengths are your foundation, and that’s what you should go all in on because that’s what makes you stand out. At the same time, I don’t believe in ignoring your weaknesses. You don’t have to be a master of everything, but you do need to be aware of where you’re not strong so you can either improve just enough to hold your own or bring in people who complement you.
For example, when I first started as an independent artist, I knew my creativity and vision were my biggest strengths. That’s what I leaned into. But when it came to the business side marketing, networking, figuring out how to get my music in front of the right ears I wasn’t as strong. Instead of letting that hold me back, I studied, learned, and built connections with people who had the skills I didn’t. That balance allowed me to grow not just as an artist, but as a brand.
So I’d say double down on what makes you unique, but don’t run from the areas you’re weaker in. Either grow in those spaces or find the right people to fill those gaps. That’s how you really move forward.
