Meet Jeri Gregory

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeri Gregory. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jeri, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I prayed and meditated on how to overcome. Then I had to identify that I, Jeri, had imposter syndrome. I recognize the patterns and cycles in my life that wasn’t pleasing to me. One, People Pleasing, this one was the hardest to break. I felt I had to please people in order to be like or love or even accepted. I removed those people who felt I needed to that and I gave what I could to people without feeling guilty.
Two, a Perfectionist , I had to break the unrealistic expectations of success and achievement put on me as a child.
Three, Procrastination, I hesitated on completing things, starting things, pursuing things because I thought I wasn’t good enough. Despite the success and achievements I currently possess.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Jeri, I command the atmosphere, A single mother to 3 amazing girls, an Entrepreneur, a Minister of Arts, A Soul Care Coach, A Teacher, A Leader, An Author, I am a lot of things. *Laughs* I provide Soul Care Coaching for women, especially single mothers in a one on one or group setting.
In these session I assist them in establishing a healthy environment for themselves and their children, what success looks like for them, giving out “mom hacks”, setting a self care routine for themselves and their children, organization skills and more.

I also educated and mentor children and teens.
All of these wonderful services are provided under The Single Moms Diary. I created this brand to support women and mothers who share the same journey as me.

I have a guided journal and children’s activities book and I recently released a plan and pray planner for 2024.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My advice for those early in the journey would be to stay focused, authentic and committed to the work. It’s easy to get off track with the cares of life and when the numbers don’t add up and the response isn’t always good……push through.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
It would be self care and self love. I’ve learned to put me first, that no is a complete sentence and to rest in God.
