Meet Jericho Ma

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jericho Ma. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jericho , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I’ve built my confidence by surrounding myself with positive, supportive people who encourage me to grow. I also stay curious and open to learning, every time I pick up a new skill or explore something unfamiliar, it boosts my self-esteem and reminds me what I’m capable of.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a digital artist with a portfolio that’s taken me from collaborating with global names like Balenciaga, Nike, and Beats to creating deeply personal, experimental works. At the core of everything I do is a love for creation — it’s my language, my playground, and my way of shaping stories that feel both intimate and expansive.

I was born into a Chinese and Yakut heritage, and lately I’ve been immersed in researching Sakha culture, a part of my identity that’s long felt distant. This journey has sparked my newest project — an artistic excavation of my lost cultural roots, reframing them through a contemporary, digital lens. It’s equal parts cultural reclamation and creative reinvention, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

For me, the three qualities that have shaped my journey the most are CGI skills, creativity, and — believe it or not — a bit of “anger.” CGI gave me the tools to bring my visions to life; creativity keeps me dreaming bigger than what’s in front of me; and anger, in the right form, can be a powerful motivator. It’s not always a bad thing — it can push you to grow, to challenge the status quo, and to demand better from yourself and the world around you.

For anyone just starting out, my advice is: think big, because this world has way more dimensions than you might imagine. At the same time, train your eye to notice the smallest details — that’s where the magic often hides.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

If I only had a decade left, I’d move to Texas, slow life down, and spend as much time as possible with the people I love. I’d give myself permission to take a long break — to savor the days, soak in the little things, and just be present.
