We were lucky to catch up with Jermaine West recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jermaine , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose when I created my first shirt. The response I received let me know I was on to something! I started wearing my brand, and made a name for myself, and the rest was history.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I design clothes for my brand (D’ME). I take pride in what I do and I give the best customer service. I enjoy being creative with my designs and making sure I stand out. There’s nothing like D’ME out there and I’ll continue pushing my brand and making sure I’m number 1.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities of mine that kept me going:
1. Determination
2. Drive
3. Dedication
My advice will be never give up and continue working hard.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth and improvement was expanding my resources and making sure I’m able to provide quality merchandise
