We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jerrel Singer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jerrel below.
Jerrel, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose is ever evolving, not one day is the same. Some days you have the self esteem to make strides and changes, the other days you look to your friends, family and close people who remind you that you are doing well.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a artist based in Northern Arizona, I paint what is around me and transform my life into a new place. When I first started I was afraid to show my work, and would never share it. Today I’m able show my work all over the place, I’m at a point where I can feel free to be anywhere in my mindset.
I paint what I feel and see, it makes me want to do more than just feel art, it makes want to show you a journey that you will enjoy.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Having my parents around and seeing the never ending work ethics that they instill on my family. My dad worked sun up to sun down, he would come home exhausted but yet he would make time to ask about my day and make sure we were feed.
Practice what you have and don’t be afraid to try new things, it will increase your interest in your future.
Enjoy your time with your family, friends it makes things happier and much appreciated around you.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Creating new works of art, sometimes it feels like you are not doing enough and you feel that you can do more. But when you look back you see the growth and inspiration that you have. People see it and want to know how you’re able to be at a certain level of achievement. It comes down to making a decision on how you are gonna approach the situation and where you can be a good fit in the world.
