Meet Jess Sepulveda

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jess Sepulveda. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jess below.

Jess, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem by understanding that confidence comes from knowledge. When you truly know something, you can approach it with certainty and clarity. Often, you have to trust yourself and the process, even when the outcome isn’t immediately clear.

Education plays a crucial role in executing any action. It’s important to seek resources, guidance, or people who have already walked the path you’re on. Books and the experiences of others provide invaluable insights, helping you navigate your journey and avoid unnecessary mistakes.

Additionally, I believe in the presence of a higher power. I trust that if you are sincere with God, He will guide you. There’s a difference between what you think you want to be and what God has planned for you to become. Embracing that trust has been key to building my confidence and self-esteem.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I grew up in New York City, a place where everything is possible and where the fast pace polishes you to become the best version of yourself—if you’re determined to achieve your goals. I landed a position at a multinational company, a dream job with my own office and a stunning view. However, it was there that I realized I wanted more. In that corporate world, everything revolved around seniority, and it would take me years to reach the highest position and earn more income.

With a push from God, I took a leap of faith and left that job, as I became pregnant. I had always dreamed of being a present mother, especially since I didn’t have my own parents actively involved in my life. Becoming a mother was the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me. It not only fulfilled a deep longing but also pushed me to stay home. Yet, as an entrepreneurial woman, I wanted to remain useful and generate income.

That’s when my journey began to become who I am today: a businesswoman, entrepreneur, and investor. Now, I help others organize and grow their businesses. Thanks to my education and experience, I can guide them to avoid being part of the many ventures that don’t make it past the first three years. I also show them the digital path to scale and expand their businesses.

I’m known as the “digital friend” for Latinos because my content is in Spanish. However, since I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, I’m equally capable of helping English speakers.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Resilience and Adaptability: Growing up in New York City taught me to embrace challenges and adapt to ever-changing circumstances. These qualities allowed me to pivot from a corporate career to entrepreneurship with confidence and determination, even when the path wasn’t clear.

Continuous Learning and Curiosity: My hunger for knowledge and commitment to self-education have been game-changers. From learning business strategies to understanding digital tools, seeking knowledge through books, mentors, and experiences has equipped me to make informed decisions and guide others effectively.

Empathy and Connection: My personal experiences of longing for parental presence and building a life around my child have given me a deep sense of empathy. This helps me connect with people on a genuine level, which is invaluable in both personal and professional relationships. It allows me to understand my clients’ struggles and guide them with compassion and authenticity.

Progress takes time—trust the process and be kind to yourself as you grow.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

In the past 12 months, I have focused on my family and on growing as a woman, wife, and mother. Society—and now feminism—often pushes us to forget that we are more than just money-making machines. I learned this the hard way when I came close to losing my home by prioritizing my professional world above everything else. Finding balance and discovering your purpose is far more important than accumulating titles.

I say this with the understanding that when we leave this world, we take nothing with us. Most importantly, the people you love and who love you are here today, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be here tomorrow.
