We recently connected with Jesse Cilio and have shared our conversation below.

Jesse , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

By always finding curiosity.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My art was just heavily featured in the new Netflix documentary on Hans Zimmer, called Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel.

I’m in pre production on my newest feature film called Pure Heroine. My the writer and Director .

It’s about A Female who self-identifies as a male steals drugs and money to pay for his sex change. The daughter of the Transgender Man’s best friend who was murdered and a Bipolar actress, who dresses up as a character on Hollywood Blvd. form a temporary family. A whirlwind romance ensues heading for some complications – like degenerate hit-men and a psycho mob boss.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Being hardworking, kind, and not giving a fuck about what anyone says .
