Meet Jessica Brosamle

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Brosamle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Honestly? I still fight imposter syndrome every single day. It sneaks back in the second I try something new or step outside my comfort zone. The only thing that helps is doing it anyway! I show up even when I’m scared, even when that little voice is telling me I’m not good enough. I educate myself, I stay consistent, and I remind myself no one feels ready… we just keep going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a portrait photographer, but really, I help teens own their moment. Seniors, dancers, actors, we capture your confidence, your style, and that energy that’s so you. I’m all about bold colors, real personality, and photos that stand out. Whether it’s headshots or creative portraits, my brand’s fun, fearless, and made for the ones ready to show up and be seen.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Hands-on workshops taught me everything I couldn’t learn sitting at home. Trial and error is how I really got comfortable behind the camera. Lighting is the biggest skill I’d tell anyone to focus on. If you don’t know your light your work will never reach its full potential. And customer service will always be my top priority. People come back for the experience just as much as the photos. My advice? Get out there practice make mistakes learn your light and always give excellent service.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Always looking to collaborate on fun, styled shoots. Stylists, florals, hair and makeup -if you love bringing creative visions to life, let’s make some magic.
