Jessica, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
I think my optimism comes from my resilience, and knowing that everything is temporary. Anything you are going to experience- is just happening in this moment, and this moment is going to pass. This is why we like to relish in the moment, and be optimistic about the moment. I have experienced trauma in my life, and I can attest that being optimistic is more fun than being pessimistic. Being optimistic is the way to go, and seeing that everyone is doing the best that they can with what they have to offer, at that moment, helps keep me engaged with a good attitude. When we are optimistic, the world is a better place.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Jessica Chapin with Bliss Reiki Arts and I offer a variety of services, ranging from coaching services to hypnotherapy to sound healing and Reiki therapy. All these services help assist you on your journey of healing and growth. I love meeting new people and helping them heal- because life is tricky. I love experiencing their journey -because we are all so much alike. We all have joys, worries, fears, loves and goals for ourselves. We are connected by our human conditions, and I am very humbled to work with people, earn their trust, and give them pointers on how to navigate life. Some issues are more intense, and knowing we are all going through life, as everyone has the similar issues, it just presents itself differently. Many people at some point in their life experience imposter-syndrome, or issues with their parents, and some can be more intense. But realizing we are more connected than most realize, just give each other a break and come at people with love and compassion and hold space for them, our world would be a better place. I believe I am changing the world through my practice and in my own way, by showing light, love, and gratitude. By offering acceptance and providing healing remedies. By helping people and guiding them to show compassion for others, and for themselves. And this is what excites me about being a “Reiki Master” and a healing artist and hypnotherapist. I can provide a positive change in our world one session at a time.
I have recently expanded my practice to include Parts Hypnotherapy. Parts work therapy is a therapeutic approach designed to help patients communicate with different parts of their subconscious, bringing forth a sense of wholeness and peace. This is the type of therapy that will focus on understanding why you do the things you do- and if needed it will help aid you toward healing and personal growth.
Also I have taken courses to address and coach individuals on trauma, and a couple more services. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe that if you want to do something,- anything in your life, the time is now. This passion that you carry, these ideas, thoughts, and beliefs come to you – for you- from your energy. There is enough energy to go around, and it’s time for you to jump in and do what you want in life. There is enough business and success to be had- because people will come to you, for you. Not because you were less expensive, or had a better location, it is because of you and your energy. Hold space for yourself and others, and all of this beautiful energy will flow naturally. Embrace yourself and the unique, beautiful energy you provide.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
I practice a daily routine that includes Reiki meditation every morning and evening, which helps me connect to the Universe and my body. These grounding practices include breath work and help notice any body sensations. By keeping both feet on the ground, taking deep breaths, and being aware of my body and space, any new sensations that I notice, like the emotions and stress of being overwhelmed and where it’s coming from, help discern the issues and help slow things down to break up any overwhelming fears.
When my clients are feeling overwhelmed, I tell them to listen to the different parts of themselves, as every part is important and is trying to tell you something. Sometimes, that means making compromises as well. This helps my clients connect to the universe, to themselves, and be present in the moment.
