Meet Jessica Gabrielle

We recently connected with Jessica Gabrielle and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my confidence and self-esteem shortly after Middle School. I was the kid that got picked on for my complexion. Just because my skin was darker, I was called every name in the book. I started to idolize women that I admired who had skin like myself. Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s child always had skin that glowed and yet was just like mine. I started to tell myself I was beautiful and believe that I was, despite what someone else said. The moment I started to love the skin I was in, my confidence grew and now nobody can’t tell me nothing. I am beautiful and beauty is me !

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

For starters I am a Full time Mom, Pre-K Teacher, Dancer and Singer-Songwriter. The most exciting thing about all 4 of those is that I can inspire the Youth from a small age and help them develop their own Talents and Skills. My daughter wants to do everything Mommy does when it comes to singing and dancing. That lets me know I’m doing something right. I take my craft with music very serious and if anything, I want my children to know they can do anything if they set their minds to it. This year has been a great year with getting more exposure and new music ! I expect an EP to come out in March2026 , great things are ahead!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The 3 qualities or skills that were most impactful in my journey were my courage, dedication & strength. I say that because it was a point in time where I was scared to put my music out there because the quality wasn’t the best or I thought that someone else out there was better than me. I allowed my mindset to discourage me in the beginning but with consistency, time and dedication I proved myself wrong. I realized that singing helped me in my toughest moments and I could help someone do the same by singing, if they couldn’t find the words themselves. I advise anyone to love themselves first before you expect the world to. Stay consistent because it’s easy to be forgotten and do what makes you happy!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes I am looking for folks to collaborate with. It could be a Rapper or another Singer. I am an RnB Artist who is very much stuck in the 90s as for as music being “timeless”. That’s what I strive for, not just good music but timeless music, I like to spread my love to the State of South Carolina, there is so much talent here and collaborating with other Artists from the same state as me, means a lot to me. If you’re an Artist reading this, you can contact me through email ([email protected]) or on Instagram (_.jessicagabrielle) I’m always opened to work !
