Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Godinez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
Being in the catering industry, I’m constantly looking for new ways to make eating dessert fun. I always try to add my twist to all my services so that my clients and their guests have a fun one of a kind experience.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We love to celebrate and be a part of those special days. We offer a fun and unique one of a kind dessert experience to our clients and their guests.
We cater to all types of events, birthdays, baby showers, weddings, corporate events and more!
We have over 12 different services, our most popular are Churros, Churro Sundaes, Concha Ice Cream Sandwiches, Esquite, Munchies and Cafe De Olla.
We are excited to announce our newest service coming soon. Our Charcuterie Cart will be available at the end of February, beginning of March 2024. Guest will be able to create their very own mini charcuterie boards/ boxes and enjoy them while they mingle at their event.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe my creativity, my customer service and being a mom all have been impactful throughout my journey.
My creativity helps me to keep coming up with new and fun ideas to offer my clients. My customer service gives me the ability to connect and communicate with my clients to make sure they are excited to hire us over and over again. Being a mom gives me the motivation to not give up and keep going, it shows my 2 little girls that if we set our minds to something we can make our dreams come true.
My advice to anyone starting their journey is to not give up at the first sight of trouble. If being a momtrepreneur was so easy then everyone would be doing it.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Any momtrepreneur will tell you that trying to balance being a mom and business owner is one of the hardest things to do. When I feel overwhelmed, I have to remind myself to take a deep breath, take break, and slow down for a bit.
I remind myself that I have to make sure I take care of me so that I can give the best version of myself to my clients and their guests.
