We recently connected with Jessica Teich and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I truly believe my work ethic is something I inherited from my parents. Growing up, I watched both of them work incredibly hard, but what stood out was how they did it — they didn’t just work a lot, they worked with purpose, and they always made space for our family. We were very close. They showed me that success isn’t just about drive, but also about staying grounded in your values and relationships.
My dad was an entrepreneur, and he had this incredible natural way with people. He never met a stranger. His network wasn’t something he “built” strategically — it grew because he was genuinely himself, friendly, kind, and always willing to help someone. I didn’t realize it when I was younger, but now as a business owner, I see how powerful that authenticity is, especially in the world of marketing and social media.
He passed away this past summer, and it shifted something in me. I feel like so much of him lives on in the way I run my business. The way I show up for clients, the way I pour into relationships, the way I balance ambition with heart — that’s him. So when I think about where my work ethic comes from, it comes from watching my parents show up every day — with intention, with integrity, and with love.
His legacy is in my business — in how I treat people, how I build community, and how I stay committed even when entrepreneurship is hard. And that’s something I’m really proud of.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Before I started my business, I was a school teacher. I loved teaching, but when I had my children, I chose to step away and spend those early years at home with them. When the time came to consider going back, I realized I wasn’t ready to return to a schedule that didn’t allow me to be flexible and present for my family. I remember praying and asking God to show me a way — something that would allow me to use my gifts, support my family, and still be available for my children. And He opened the door.
What started as helping a few friends and small business owners with their social media has grown into a full boutique social media marketing agency. To this day, my business has been built entirely on referrals — every client, every connection, every opportunity has been placed in front of me in a way that I truly believe was God-led. I don’t say that lightly. This business exists because of prayer, provision, and obedience.
Today, my agency manages between 20–40 clients at a time across a team of six incredibly talented women. We serve a diverse range of clients — realtors, real estate vendors, construction companies, designers, churches, entrepreneurs, and both new and established businesses. We offer full-service social media management as well as à la carte packages designed to support clients at different stages of growth. We’ve recently expanded to include website design, ongoing website management, and other creative services that help businesses show up online with confidence and clarity.
What makes our agency special is not just the services we provide — it’s the heart behind it. Christ is at the center of everything we do. We pray over our business, our clients, and our decisions. We value relationship over transaction, excellence over trend-chasing, and authenticity over performance. My focus is creating content and strategy that truly reflects who my clients are, what they value, and who they serve.
This journey has been something I never could have planned, but it has become such a meaningful part of my life. I’m grateful every day that I get to build something with purpose, use the gifts God has given me, and still be the mom and wife I want to be. And I’m excited for what’s ahead — continued growth, deeper impact, and the opportunity to keep showing up in the spaces God calls me to.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
When I look back at what has truly carried me through this journey, the three most impactful qualities have been hard work, discipline, and faith.
Nothing in my business has happened without my faithfulness to Christ and a willingness to show up and work—consistently and sacrificially. When I started, I had this idea that entrepreneurship would give me flexibility. And it does, in some ways. But the reality is that building something meaningful takes a lot of hard work. I’ve had seasons of early mornings, late nights, 60–70 hour work weeks—because when a business is growing, you have to be willing to put your head down and do the work that others don’t always see.
I think sometimes in today’s world, we see social media highlight only the success—the lifestyle, the “freedom,” the pretty branding—but we don’t see the grit behind it. A business doesn’t build itself. You build it, day by day, decision by decision, prayer by prayer.
My business reached six figures within its first year, and we are on track to double that in our second year. I’m grateful for that growth, but I want to be clear: it didn’t happen by accident. It happened because I stayed rooted in faith, remained disciplined even when it was hard, and continued to work diligently even when no one was watching.
For anyone who is just starting their journey, my advice is this:
Stay rooted in something bigger than yourself. For me, that is Christ. Your purpose needs to be anchored, because entrepreneurship will test you.
Be willing to work hard—really hard. There is no shortcut. Excellence takes effort.
Practice discipline. Discipline is what carries you on the days motivation isn’t there.
Show up. Keep showing up. And let God open the doors you’re meant to walk through.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My husband has been the most influential person in helping me overcome challenges and grow into the person and business owner I am today. It is incredibly important to have a partner who supports your dreams, and from the very beginning, he encouraged me to go for this. When I was stepping into entrepreneurship, he didn’t just cheer me on — he actively made space for it to be possible.
He took on more responsibilities at home. He stepped in with our kids. He has been the primary financial provider while I was building this business from the ground up. And the way he did all of this was never with resentment or hesitation — he genuinely believed in me, sometimes even more than I believed in myself.
On the days where the work is heavy, when I’m stressed, when I’m questioning if I’m doing enough, he is the one who grounds me. He reminds me why I started, what truly matters, and the long-term vision that sometimes gets lost in the day-to-day hustle. He listens to every vent, every brainstorm, every high and low — and he is steady through all of it.
I absolutely love what I do. I love the clients I serve, the team I lead, the impact we’re creating. But a huge part of why I’m able to do this work with passion and confidence is because of the support I have at home. Knowing that my husband is in my corner — not just emotionally, but practically and spiritually — has been one of the greatest gifts in this journey. Having a partner who says, “I’ve got us. You chase what God has placed on your heart” has made all the difference.
