Meet Jessica Zunic

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Zunic a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience is shaped by personal experiences, inner strength, and a strong desire to succeed. The support of family, friends, and mentors has reinforced my belief in myself and my work. I draw strength from the lessons learned during difficult times, and each challenge I’ve faced has added another layer of resilience, helping me grow more resourceful and confident in navigating whatever comes next.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My focus professionally revolves around both my photography business and my artistic career. I’m passionate about capturing special moments for my clients and transforming them into works of art. At the same time, I’m committed to expanding my artistic portfolio, creating new pieces, and showcasing my work in more local exhibitions. My photography business is already booking into 2025, and I’m continuously creating new art. Visit my website to explore available pieces or to book a photo shoot or event with me.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I think the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful on my journey were adaptability, creativity, and the ability to connect with others. These have allowed me to navigate challenges, push boundaries in my work, and build meaningful relationships with clients and collaborators.

My advice for those early in their journey is to keep educating yourself. Continuously research the skills you want to develop, focus on moving forward rather than dwelling on the past, and embrace your experiences as valuable lessons that will make you stronger.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I make it a point to step away and give myself a moment to regroup. This helps me clear my mind and reset. Then, I prioritize my tasks by determining which ones require immediate attention and tackle them one step at a time.
