Meet Jesus Barajas

We recently connected with Jesus Barajas and have shared our conversation below.

Jesus, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity come from my family. My family has always respected everyone. From my parents to my tios, tias, and cousins you can see how generous we could be. I have always been taught the basics from saying please and thank you to holding the door open for the person behind me. Being in high school band I was able to meet some of the nicest friends that has taught me from right and wrong. To being in the military I have learned how to be provide selfless service and walk with integrity in all I do. To complete my generosity I used to work for a company where the owner was always known of giving back. He would create a special dinner for his colleagues and cater to them. As his company grew I saw how giving back to communities , non profit organizations and even opened a furlough kitchen during the 2020 pandemic to help feed to hungry families. I have always been grateful to meet such amazing people that have shaped my generosity.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I specialize in providing CPR classes. Our CPR classes are designed to get you the most updated information on the sciences and curriculum of CPR through the American Heart Association. We bring and provide all the materials needed for the class. Our manikins are the most recent products to come out with real time feedback when getting hands on the compressions section. Our AED program is so extensive we bring exact training models to the devices at your facility. We help train and inspect all devices you own. We also provide AED device and accessory sells to complete a full circle when enrolling into our Cardiovascular Emergency Response Plan (CERP). As a small business we bring the best customer service and a unique experience when learning to save a life.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The best skill I have is being able to talk to people. If I wasn’t so open I would have not had the opportunities that have been given to me. Being able to talk and lead from my military experience helps me instruct and be direct when teaching about CPR. Before having my business I have have experience from working in security, being a Pre-K teacher, working in construction and warehouses and obtaining a Criminal Justice degree has opened my mind in learning new skills and taking in any information from my past mentors. I always retain information that can help me approve to who I am. If you are concentrating on one thing and one thing only, you may be successful. But opening your world into new skills can help you better yourself and create new ways and ideas to better your own business and success.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

My biggest growth this past 12 months have been within my religion and with God, I found myself a couple years ago but in all the wrong places. This year I have focused on myself and improving my relationship in spirit. I wake up and pray for the position I am in life. There has definitely been struggles this past year but somehow I made it through and I couldn’t have made it without God. I may not be the perfect going to church every Sunday but I try my best to keep my faith strong. As I give back to myself, my savior and to the community I realize how things come into place in a slowly but surly pace. I did not change my ways of living to guarantee life will get better. You have to believe in yourself and in your faith to see change in your life.
