Meet Jhada Williams

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jhada Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jhada, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. When I was 18 and in college, I started selling bundles after receiving a refund check. However, I didn’t know much about the hair industry and didn’t enjoy that line of work. Once the hair was sold, I never reinvested. Two years later, I discovered my interest in lashes, it was my 21st birthday, I was gifted a Groupon to get my first lash extension set, and as I lay on the table, I thought, “I wonder if I could do this.” This curiosity sparked my journey. A year later, I took a course from my lash technician, enrolled in esthetic school, learned more about waxing and skincare, and everything else was history. I always like to tell people that I didn’t find my purpose; my purpose found me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am the founder of Enhanced Estetic, an aesthetic salon located in Sandy Springs, where we empower women through lash extension services and waxing. What excites me most about my work is seeing the boost in confidence that my clients experience after a session. I love being part of their transformation and helping them feel their best.

Our services are unique because we focus on creating a personalized experience for each client. We take the time to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring they leave with a look that enhances their natural beauty.

One of the highlights of my journey has been hosting the podcast Estetic Circle, where I discuss the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, share tips on being a beauty boss, and answer questions about the beauty industry. It’s a platform where I can connect with other entrepreneurs and beauty enthusiasts, sharing insights and learning from each other’s experiences.

We are continually evolving at Enhanced Estetic. Recently, we expanded our service offerings to include LED Gel Lash Extensions and launched our hypoallergenic products designed to complement our lash and waxing services. This expansion allows us to provide a more comprehensive beauty experience for our clients.

Our tagline, “Enhancing the Natural You,” truly reflects our mission. We’re not just about beauty services; we’re about fostering self-confidence and empowerment through the art and science of aesthetics.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I believe three qualities were most impactful in my journey: resilience, continuous learning, and a strong sense of purpose.

1. Resilience: Building a business is filled with challenges and setbacks. Resilience helped me push through tough times and stay focused on my goals. My advice for those early in their journey is to embrace failures as learning opportunities. Understand that setbacks are a part of the process and that persistence will get you through.

2. Continuous Learning: The beauty industry is always evolving, and staying updated with the latest trends and techniques has been crucial. I took courses, attended workshops, and constantly sought new knowledge to improve my skills. For those starting out, invest in your education and never stop learning. The more you know, the more you can offer your clients.

3. Strong Sense of Purpose: Knowing why I do what I do has been my guiding light. My purpose is to empower women through beauty services, and this mission drives every decision I make. For those beginning their journey, find your ‘why’ and let it guide you. When you have a clear purpose, it becomes easier to stay motivated and make choices that align with your long-term vision.

In summary, cultivate resilience, commit to continuous learning, and stay connected to your purpose. These qualities will help you navigate the ups and downs of your entrepreneurial journey and achieve your goals.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who values self-care and personal transformation. They seek high-quality, personalized beauty services and appreciate the artistry involved in lash extensions and waxing. They are confident, or on their journey to becoming more confident, and align with our mission of empowerment through aesthetics. This client understands the importance of investing in themselves and trusts us to enhance their natural beauty while boosting their confidence.
