Hi Jihan, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I discovered my purpose in the midst of Covid lockdown. It was mid 2020 and like many, I was confined to my home absorbed in life’s uncertainty. My current endeavors had come to a halt and what to do next wasn’t quite clear. With my life in limbo and the world terrified by illness, I decided to put all my focus into one thing that brought me joy and made me feel empowered: my health. I focused on building more healthy habits, optimizing my well-being and getting into the best shape possible so that I could stay well. With so much talk about the “Quarantine 15” weight gain, and questions around proactive measures people could take to stay healthy, I took my passion for health & wellness and turned it into my purpose– a solution to help other women lose weight and build sustainable habits to optimize their health and well-being.
My passion in health & wellness was inspired by my own 75-lb weight loss journey in 2017. After 10 years of obesity, and countless unsustainable diets and “quick-fix” programs that never yielded any real long-term results, I finally realized I needed to address the root of my problems: my mindset, habits and lifestyle.
After learning how to build sustainable healthy habits in nutrition, fitness, mindfulness, sleep and self-love & care, I successfully lost 75-lbs and have kept it off since. Knowing the impact my weight loss and these new habits had on my own health and life, it only made sense for me to expand my knowledge, get certified, and help bring life-changing results to others.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the owner of High Vibe Sister- Health & Weight Loss Coaching. High Vibe Sister is an online coaching service that helps women take control of their health and gain optimal, lasting results. As a Certified Health Coach with specializations in Behavior Change and Weight Management, my mission is to empower women to achieve sustainable weight loss and create effective healthy habit changes. At High Vibe Sister, I currently offer two types of transformative programs for women: Weight Loss Coaching and Health Coaching; both of which are virtual programs so I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work 1:1 with women anywhere in the world.
Weight Loss Coaching is designed specifically for women to shed pounds and keep them off for good. My clients and I work together to create a personalized plan that fits their lifestyle, preferences, and unique needs, making sure they achieve their desired weight loss and maintain it for life.
My Health Coaching program is designed to guide and support clients through self-directed change to optimize any area or areas of their health and well-being. A few examples of this are creating better eating or exercise habits, mastering stress management, managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, or improving blood work test results.
I also offer a self-paced online weight loss program and I’m about to release a self-paced online course for building the best habits for a healthier, happier life. Many of these tips can also be found on my blog. My approach to all programs is integrative, addressing every aspect of well-being to help clients and participants live a vibrant and fulfilling life.
In my practice, I wake up every day to do something I love. Inspiring and equipping women to achieve full health and happiness is the most gratifying feeling in the world. I love and appreciate all of my amazing clients and community.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Passion, purpose and resilience.
Passion and purpose are the dynamic duo upon which my journey began and continues. For both my own weight loss journey and journey as an entrepreneur, my passion for optimal health & well-being ignited my spark, and my purpose has kept it aflame. With passion and purpose intertwined, I’ve been able to channel that energy into a meaningful pursuit that resonates with both my heart and mind– becoming my healthiest self, and in turn help others become their healthiest self. My passion and purpose are the reason I get out of bed every day and continue doing what I do.
As with any journey there will be ups, downs and stagnancy. It’s not so much about what happens (or doesn’t happen), but how you handle it. Resilience is key. Resilience isn’t just about overcoming adversity, but also what you learn and how you move forward from it. It’s the stepping stone for growth. Resilience requires having an unwavering faith in your vision, and being proactive, creative, and optimistic to navigate through and beyond any obstacles. Passion and purpose help you be resilient. In both journeys, I’ve endured challenge after challenge, but my heart and mind never let me quit.
My advice is to let these 3 qualities be a force that pushes you toward achievement. Doing something your heart isn’t into is a recipe for failure and discontentment so it’s important to do what you love, know your deeper why, and keep pushing forward every single day. We all have greatness within us and our passion, purpose, and resilience is what’ll take us to the next level time and time again.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a woman who cares enough about herself, her health status and her longevity to grab the reins and make change now. Most women I help are at a point in life where their struggles with health or being overweight is affecting almost every area of their life. They experience feelings of stress, exhaustion, hormonal imbalance, shame, and more. Most are also frustrated and hopeless from countless fad diets, or blindly trying other “quick fix” programs that don’t yield lasting results. They love my coaching programs because having a tailored simple, actionable, comprehensive plan makes for easier adherence and leaves them feeling strong, nourished, energetic… not overexerted, tired and deprived.
My ideal client isn’t only what’s mentioned above, but she also understands that there are no shortcuts to good health and that the key to lasting change is building healthy, sustainable lifestyle habits over time… so she is patient, consistent and willing to trust the process. Whether it’s losing weight to feel more confident in her body, manage chronic conditions, or simply learn how to live a healthier lifestyle, she’s seeking to be empowered with the knowledge and knowhow to implement these habits in a way that will last a lifetime. She’s determined to tap into her inner strength to develop the self-trust, self-confidence, and self-love necessary to overcome any current or future challenge that may impede on her health and happiness.
