Meet Jillian White

We recently connected with Jillian White and have shared our conversation below.

Jillian , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Over time, I’ve learned to follow my instincts with what I love and what makes me feel most in touch with myself. In order to do that I’ve turned away from following influencers/celebrities and focusing on my own life and progress instead of others’. Self-confidence, in my opinion, stems from knowing in your soul that you are the most authentic version of yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a feminine artist that primarily works with pen art. My work focuses on sensuality with some light kink elements, but my work can range from shibari and florals to hamsas and mandalas. I have a published coloring book available on my Etsy along with some prints. I also paint and love working with florals and soft colors. Aside from art, I am a fashion design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology and have a mini collection of tulle dresses/tops for rental. I hope to be able to carry on both passions in life.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
That depends on how committed you are to your passion, and how much you have to lose. If you’re confident in your ability and motivation to learn new skills, then the next step is assessing how much time and money you’re willing to put towards it.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
In a creative sense, I believe intuition, self-assurance, and diligence are the 3 most important qualities for the perfect combination. The main aspect of being an artist is being confident and organic with your own work.
