Meet Jim Kupczyk

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jim Kupczyk. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jim below.

Jim, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Honestly, I’m not sure I ever found my purpose — it’s more like it found me. Even as a kid, I had this inner knowing that I was here to help people. I didn’t have all the language for it back then, but deep down I knew my path would be about guiding others to discover who they truly are, why they’re here, and how to become the best version of themselves.

It wasn’t something I chased. I trusted my gut and followed where life led me. I’ve always believed the universe has my back — even when things didn’t make sense on the surface, there was this quiet trust that it would all work out.

Later in life, that purpose became a lot clearer through shamanic ceremonies and sacred plant medicine work — always in a respectful, intentional, and safe setting. Those experiences helped me see past some of the old patterns and mental clutter. They didn’t give me something new as much as they peeled away what wasn’t mine — what didn’t serve. What remained was a deep clarity and a strong sense of why I’m here.

My journey has been about remembering, more than becoming.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of Sahu Sacred Oils, a conscious brand rooted in ancient Egyptian alchemy and built to support healing, self-discovery, and personal transformation. I never planned to start this business — it started me. Back in February 2022, I was in Egypt for a spiritual event (Matias deStefano) and was asked to bring back lavender oil for a friend. What unfolded next was anything but ordinary. Through a series of synchronistic events, I was introduced to a 7th-generation (related to Cleopatra) family-owned press in Luxor that creates oils using sacred, ancient methods — no chemicals, no steam, just sun-drenched plants, oxen-powered granite wheels, and deep reverence for the land and spirit.

What’s most exciting to me about this work is that it goes way beyond a product. These oils are tools for awakening. They carry not only the essence of the plants but also the intention and energy of something much older and wiser. Every bottle is crafted to support a journey — whether it’s healing, clarity, courage, or connecting with your higher self.

Right now, I’m focused on collaborating with heart-centered individuals — intuitives, healers, even scientists — to co-create blends that support real-life transformation. From helping children on the autism spectrum feel more grounded to developing blends for peak performance, meditation, or emotional healing, each product is born out of connection and purpose.

One of the newest blends I’m working on is especially meaningful to me — it’s designed to support people in stripping away the ego and reconnecting with their true self. We’re calling it True Self: Align, Awaken, Embody. It’s more than a blend — it’s part of a step-by-step process I’m creating to guide people through the layers of self-discovery, to remember who they really are beneath the noise. This is the kind of work that lights me up — using ancient plant wisdom to help people reclaim their power, truth, and purpose.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three things that made the biggest difference for me were trust, curiosity, and humility.

Trust — in myself, in the process, in the universe. There were so many moments where the path wasn’t clear, but something inside just knew to keep going. I’ve learned that trust isn’t about knowing how it will all work out — it’s about believing that it will, even when you can’t see it yet. For anyone just starting out, I’d say: get comfortable in the unknown. That’s where the magic is.

Curiosity — I’ve always been curious about life, about consciousness, about what’s really going on beneath the surface. That curiosity has led me to mentors, ceremonies, travels, books, deep conversations — and ultimately to the work I do now. Stay open. Ask questions. Follow what lights you up, even if it doesn’t make sense yet.

Humility — This journey has taught me again and again that we’re all students. The moment I think I have it all figured out, life gently (or not so gently) reminds me there’s more to learn. Humility keeps me grounded. It helps me listen more than I speak and stay in alignment with what’s real, not what’s shiny.

If you’re just beginning, don’t rush. Build your inner foundation. The skills and success will come, but your essence — your truth — is what really matters. Protect that. Nurture it. And surround yourself with people who reflect back your light, not your fear.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who feels a deeper calling — whether they can fully name it or not. They’re heart-centered, open to transformation, and interested in the unseen layers of life. Often, they’re on a spiritual path, or they’re simply in a place where they’re ready to come back to themselves — to remember who they really are.

They may be healers, creatives, coaches, or just regular folks seeking more meaning, clarity, or alignment in their lives. What matters most is that they’re intentional. They respect the energy of the oils, the sacredness of the process, and they’re not just looking for a quick fix — they’re looking for a tool to support their journey.

If someone believes in the power of nature, energy, and soul-level healing, then chances are, they’re already aligned with what Sahu Sacred Oils is here to offer.
