Meet Jingjing Wu

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jingjing Wu. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jingjing below.

Hi Jingjing, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
First, identify where your passion lies. Then, set excellent works in that industry as your goals. Strive to achieve them.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a 3D artist and animation director. I like CG very much and especially enjoy creating some cartoon characters and accomplishing some beautiful animations. Since I’m from China, recently I’ve been researching how to realize the visual effect of Chinese ink painting in 3D animation. I have created a 3D ink animation that has been selected for 9 Film Festivals.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Keep learning, accept others’ opinions, and keep trying. Don’t waste time, learn to make choices.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
I’m now facing a choice between sticking to the original intent of creating and getting paid less. Or to choose a job where I can make more money.
