Meet Jizal Seikali

We were lucky to catch up with Jizal Seikali recently and have shared our conversation below.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Originally from Beirut, Lebanon… I have been in Northeastern Ohio for most of my life. I have almost two decades of dental experience and studied at many of our local universities, including Cleveland State and John Carroll. I was enlisted and commissioned with the Ohio National Guard for eight years and worked in dozens of dental offices while serving in the military. I then applied to Case Western Reserve and graduated from the Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary program. In 2018, I was working between multiple locations as an EFDA when I realized that we had a major issue with finding qualified dental professionals who best fit the needs of a dental practice, which is when I decided to start my own company.

DenTemp is a B2B SaSS model to simplify the gig economy within the dental industry. There are competitors tackling similar staffing issues, but what sets us apart is our transparency, speed to market, and our pricing model. Not only are we helping offices find incredible talent, but we assist in finding them the resources to stand out amongst other dental temps. DenTemp is a platform that empowers dental professionals with better pay, freedom, and flexibility in a quality work environment!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
You have to have a sense of resilience when deciding to start your own company. My story isn’t much different then many of the other immigrants who came to this country with a dream, My parents raised my siblings and I to be very independent and strong willed. Being and entrepreneur means you have to be consistent and use failures as an opportunity to pivot. Being confident is a major quality to have, but keeping in mind that you have to have humility and stay humble.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
The idea of DenTemp was created on building a dental community and so when it comes building partnerships and collaborations, I want to work with incredible people with like-minded interests.
