Meet Jmar Panther

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jmar Panther a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jmar, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Great question
I haven’t fully overcame imposter syndrome but I believe it is something every creative goes through.

Every now & then imposter syndrome hits like a train, I wonder if what I’m doing is enough & will it make an impact. But I believe in myself, I often look back at my work for some relief, It’s lets me know I’m going the right direction & not to stop.

I am the biggest

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

First & foremost
I am a photographer & I love what I do. I have the power to capture moments , color them & I’m able to relive the moment whenever I look at it.

#JMARSCAM
the biggest army
If you search that hashtag on instagram you’ll see a plethora of colors, cars, fashion , paparazzi ,portraits ,reels & much more everything that I love to shoot.

My first photo book has been hinted by me a few times but I’m taking my time to find the correct photos I have over 40k to choose from.
I will also be expanding to San Francisco Arizona, New York City to close out 2024.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back I can definitely say I was very determine , eager to learn & I took a lot of risk. I approached every situation with a bold strategy. I didn’t care if I failed at least I was trying something.

The best advice I have is whatever you’re doing, do it 100 % don’t have 1 foot in the door & 1 foot out. Completely commit to your passion & watch how it changes your life.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents have done for me is instilling confidence in me.
Both of my parents were teachers but somehow produced a photographer.
I greatly thankful for everything they’ve taught me, I apply it to my everyday life & I love them dearly.
