Hi Jo-Vonia , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
How did I find My Purpose? This is a great Question that, I’ve really had to ponder over. My Purpose is still being revealed as I journey through life. I feel that my main purpose is to Serve others in some capacity. I tend to find joy in seeing others smile. I exalt in the feeling that I can brighten someones day by being my authentic self and, sharing my authentic gifts. Being an artist has helped to reveal my purpose in many ways. God inspires me to create beautiful art that makes others Smile and, I get a sense of purpose from the experience. I pray daily that God continues to guide me along my path to reveal my One true purpose in life.

Loc Beads and Things is a Growing business that I’m Praying to expand. I am an Artist that enjoys thinking outside the box and, coming up with innovative ideas. I specialize in Hair adornments and, Jewelry making. I really enjoy creating Art on my spare time and, that includes painting, singing and, cooking. I believe that everyone can be creative in their own way by using their imagination and, being open minded. I customize art for others such as, Belts, shoes and, Jackets. I’m open to new ideas and, concepts to elevate my creativity level. I plan to take the proper steps this year to network with more like minded people and, grow my understanding of building a successful business. All great things take time to build and, I want my business to sit on a solid foundation. Things can get tough but, my faith will not let me give up on my dreams. I intend to schedule one or two events each month to network and, promote my business starting in February 2024. I want to spread my business name to different cities, and, states in hopes to grow. I am most excited that I am getting the opportunity to really live out a dream of mine. I feel very proud of my accomplishments so far and, will continue to stay humble.. I give God all the glory for my success so far.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three Things that helped me along my journey: Patience, Resilience, and Faith. As a new business owner myself it has been tough to navigate the business journey. I originally was skeptical of starting a business due to low capital and, no support. I then leaned on the Lord and, made sacrifices that enabled me to take the first steps. I needed Faith to get me through my apprehensive thoughts. I then plunged into a business and, thought I understood how to get it launched and, off the ground. I was wrong in many ways but, I stayed Resilient and, humble. most of the time I end up investing more money than I profit. I know in due time this will change so I practice Patience. God will help to reveal the true purpose of the business and, will help to understand how to fulfill it. I took a Month off to regroup and, restrategize on some aspects of my business. I first felt defeated but, now I feel reorganized and, refreshed. I will now come out with a better outlook on things and, that will result in greater success. A business will have its ups and, downs but, I know I will waver the storm with a smile.

Hello and, Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my thoughts and, ideas. I am looking to expand my business this year. Id love to gain more clientele that enjoys customized wearable art. I want to work with people that want a new, unique piece created to wear at a special event or maybe a photo shoot. I make WOW pieces that will definitely be one of a kind. I can customize Hair pieces, body jewelry, jackets, hats, shoes and, much more. Id love to share my information with Hair stylists, Fashion designers and, other Artists that need some fresh ideas for their clients. I can collaborate with you to come up with a New Idea that will be Authentic in every way. I love creating great quality items that are affordable but, durable.
