Meet JoAnn Bethea

We recently connected with JoAnn Bethea and have shared our conversation below.

JoAnn, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
This question resonates deeply with me, as it mirrors my own journey of finding purpose. For years, I sought validation and belonging through others’ opinions of me, or by associating myself with groups, causes, or missions. However, it wasn’t until I took a step back and embarked on a soul-searching process that I realized the importance of understanding my purpose from within.

Discovering my purpose was not an instant revelation, but rather a gradual understanding that unfolded over time. It required a journey of self-reflection, resilience, and embracing both successes and setbacks. Through this process, I learned to be patient with myself and to trust that my purpose would reveal itself when the time was right.

Now, I approach life with a newfound sense of direction and fulfillment. Knowing my purpose gives me the strength and motivation to make a positive impact, not only in my life but also in the lives of those around me. As I continue to grow and evolve, I remain open to further discoveries and adjustments to my path, always guided by the unwavering commitment to help others and contribute to meaningful change in the world.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
“I am deeply passionate about teaching and empowering others, not just as a profession or business venture, but because I have a profound personal journey that I believe can make a difference in the lives of thousands of women, especially those who have faced similar challenges. Life’s struggles are very real, and I am committed to guiding people through the process of overcoming their pain and finding healing and wholeness.

Our platform centers on empowering individuals to break free from their past traumas and maintain a sense of wholeness. I’ve learned that being open and transparent about my own experiences has been crucial in helping others. Witnessing the transformative process and the positive impact on people’s lives is truly incredible.”

I create coaching journals so that a person can keep up with their daily process. I offer group coaching as well as one-on-one.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The few qualities that were most impactful on my journey were. Self-Reflection, Emotional Awareness, Seek Support and Community

Overall, my advice to those at the beginning of their healing journey is to be gentle with yourself and remember that healing is a process. Embrace self-reflection, cultivate resilience and patience, and seek the support you need to navigate the path towards healing and wholeness.

Remember that you are not alone, and with time and dedication, positive changes can happen.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
In my journey of overcoming challenges and developing essential skills and qualities, two groups of people have been most helpful:

My Mentors: I have been fortunate to have mentors who provided guidance, wisdom, and encouragement throughout my journey. Their support and belief in my potential motivated me to keep pushing forward, even through my tears and difficult times.

Women of Faith: The women of faith I encountered have played a crucial role in my healing and personal growth. Their unwavering prayers and shared experiences helped me find strength and hope in my own journey. Their faith and resilience inspired me to keep moving forward, trusting that I could overcome obstacles and find purpose and meaning in my challenges.

Both mentors and women of faith provided unique perspectives and insights that were instrumental in my personal and professional development. Their guidance and encouragement instilled in me the belief that I could overcome any adversity and achieve my goals.

I am incredibly grateful for their presence in my life, and their impact continues to shape my journey towards success and fulfillment. As I move forward, I aspire to pay it forward by being a mentor and a source of support for others, just as these incredible individuals have been for me.
