Meet Joanna Suazo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joanna Suazo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Joanna, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes from my upbringing and the importance my family placed on responsibility and hard work. As the owner of Its JoJo, LLC, I apply those values by leading with dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for my clients.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Through Its JoJo, LLC, I provide mobile bartending services throughout Houston and the surrounding areas, bringing a professional and elevated bar experience directly to my clients’ events. From private celebrations to special occasions, my goal is to create an atmosphere where guests can relax, enjoy great drinks, and make lasting memories. What excites me most is being part of those moments – seeing people come together, celebrate, and have a great time. It JoJo is built on professionalism, great energy, and attention to detail, and I take pride in making sure every event feels special and runs smoothly.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three things that have been most impactful in my journey are consistency, people skills, and attention to detail. Consistency has helped me stay committed to building my business step by step. Strong people skills are essential in hospitality, allowing me to connect with clients and create a welcoming atmosphere at every event. Attention to detail ensures that everything – from presentation to service – runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a moment to reset and refocus on my priorities. I’ve learned that staying organized and tackling things step by step makes a big difference. I also lean into the passion behind what I do with Its JoJo – remembering that building something of your own takes dedication, but also incredibly rewarding.
