Meet Jocelyne Anahi

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jocelyne Anahi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jocelyne below.

Jocelyne, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
I just honestly let my creativity take over every nail set i am able to take full control over . I feel like when a client comes in and wants me to freestyle or do something crazy it definitely makes me feel like they are here to see what i can do & how creative i am .

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
At the moment i really want to expand my social media content with either tiktok or instagram reels by doing little clips of “ come work with me “ or “ join me on a nail day “ . I want my viewers to be able to see how i work & be able to feel a little more comfortable once they are ready to book with me .

I definitely dont feel like i want to step away from being a nail tech & a service provider at the moment . One day I would like to be able to open up my own salon or be able to teach others how to do acrylic nails in the future .

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Something that i feel really helped me build my business & following was just being myself & having confidence . I want people to know who i am and what i can do . My journey was not always easy getting started but i always kept going , even when i didnt want to or i was getting no support from family & friends. Nobody ever said building a business was ever going to be the easiest but it’s all worth it at the end.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth i would say is staying positive & not letting things hurt me & my heart . Growing up ive always had trouble believing in myself or looking for the light at the end of the dark tunnel , so i feel like i have worked on have worked really hard on making a positive outcome of every situation or even letting things affect me & how i live my life . I learned as a business owner you have to solve your problems in 5 seconds or 5 minutes . Never let it affect your day or hurt you too where it took all of you to resolve an issue .
