We recently connected with Jochebed Zakrzewski and have shared our conversation below.
Jochebed, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
When I first stepped into the branding and marketing space, imposter syndrome hit me hard. Despite my results, education, and experience, I questioned if I was “qualified enough” to claim my space in an industry filled with loud voices and polished portfolios. But then I realized, confidence doesn’t come from waiting for permission. It comes from showing up, doing the work, and letting results speak louder than doubt. Imposter syndrome is considering other people’s accolades and thinking you fall short in comparison, so I decided to stop. I stopped measuring myself against people’s highlight reels and started owning the unique blend of insight, instinct, and grit that only I bring to the table. That’s when everything shifted.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At my core, I’m a builder of bold brands. I’m the founder of Brazen Brandz, a branding and marketing consultancy based in South Florida, but built for visionaries everywhere. I help entrepreneurs, creatives, and change-makers craft bold brands that stand out and strategies that sell.
What makes Brazen Brandz special is our human-first approach to marketing in an AI-powered world. We blend technology with timeless branding principles to create marketing that feels personal, purposeful, and powerful.
Right now, we’re especially excited about launching our digital product suite designed to help small businesses and solopreneurs get unstuck and start showing up with clarity and building with confidence. We’re making premium strategy accessible to anyone ready to stop blending in.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
One of the most impactful qualities in my journey has been my ability to adapt. Growing up across different countries taught me how to read the room, adjust quickly, and find my footing in unfamiliar environments, skills that translate directly into business, branding, and leadership. The second is resourcefulness. I’ve never had the luxury of waiting for perfect conditions. I’ve learned to build with what I have, make it work, and make it better as I go. And finally, resilience. You’ll get knocked down. Things won’t go as planned. But the ability to bounce back, reinvent, and keep showing up in an undervalued superpower.
My advice: Don’t cling to the plan. Build the skill of adapting. You’ll go further, faster, and with far less burnout. Fail fast, fail forward, it’s what turns experience into wisdom and setbacks into momentum.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is a purpose-driven entrepreneur, creative founder, or small business owner who’s ready to elevate their brand with strategy and intention. I also work with enterprises that want to evolve outdated identities. My clients aren’t looking for a pretty logo; they want branding that converts into meaningful sales, messaging that connects, and marketing that drives real results.
They’re growth-minded, bold, and understand that branding goes beyond visuals; it’s the foundation for scaling their business. They’ve outgrown the DIY stage and are ready for a branding and marketing partner who brings sharp strategy, creative direction, and a clear path to showing up with confidence and consistency.
If you’re a business owner, CEO, or visionary leader looking to attract your ideal audience, build brand authority, and position your brand to stand out in a crowded market, we’ll get along just fine.
