Meet Joel LeBlanc

We recently connected with Joel LeBlanc and have shared our conversation below.

Joel, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I truly think Confidence is a struggle I will face every day. That wont stop me from pursuing my dream and finding happiness. I spent many years not believing In myself, but I do not want to look back at my life in regret. One day I had the privilege of meeting the brilliant actor, David Dastmalchian. He told me his story and how when no one believed in him he had to believe in himself. He never let anything stop him from doing what he loved and proving to himself that he is good enough. He told me to go for it and not look back. I realized why can’t it be me? Why can’t I try for my dreams as well? He lit a fire in me and helped me push myself in the right direction forward. I have friends and family I owe so much to as well. You have to believe in yourself no matter what. Never let the world keep you from your dreams!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My name is Joel LeBlanc and I am an actor in LA. I have loved the creative arts as long as I can remember. I spent along time not believing I was good enough but not anymore. I am working everyday to prove to myself that I deserve to follow my dreams. I want to help inspire others that no matter what you can go for your dreams. It is so important to never doubt or give up on yourself. The world of film is so tough and competitive. Thats why it is so important to help others and support the people around you. I have already met so many incredible filmmakers and creative individuals which has been so incredible. I have worked hard to get where I am today and my journey is just beginning. Acting is my passion and I hope to continue to do what I love! I am excited that I am cast in some very cool projects soon and I can not wait to start the next part of my career!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I believe you must be willing to continue to learn and grow. You have to always be humble and not arrogant. Learn from everyone around you but don’t compare yourself to them. Try to be better for yourself. Everyone is on a path and you must stay determined on yours thats why its so important to not get discouraged.
Always believe in yourself because there will be people who don’t believe in you. You will not be able to impress everyone and thats okay. Never lose faith in yourself or your abilities. All you can do is learn from it if possible and continue to better your craft.
Resilience is key so never forget that. You have the dream to do what you love so only you can keep yourself going.
Always accept help along the way. Never be afraid to ask for help or accept it when you can. The community is full of people who are trying to make it or have already made it so you must make those connections. You have to fight for yourself, but its one percent okay to let others fight for you too. You never know who they might introduce you too.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am looking forward to working with more talented and passionate filmmakers who are also following their dreams as well. I have met so many extremely talented people and I can not wait to create with them. There are so many people I would love to work with one day and I am keeping all doors open. When you work with determined individuals who love what they do it truly shows in the end product. Having an environment of creativity and passion makes the job so easy and rewarding. Collaboration is what makes the creative world so great.
