We were lucky to catch up with JoeLeo Moss recently and have shared our conversation below.
JoeLeo, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
The simplest ways I’ve kept my creativity alive is through silence and stress management. When I’m able to sit still long enough in a silent environment I’m able to hear what I need in order to create. My creative ability comes from the most high. Silence and meditation is a highly effective way to hear those things. I say stress management because creating is my therapy and the best way for me to rid myself of stress. It prompts me to seek inspiration from reading, music, and other things that spark my creativity. Stress is natural, and I’ve created many things while relieving stress.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m an Atlanta born native. The city of Atlanta has provided one of the most inspirational environments on the planet for a creative such as myself. I’ve taken a lot of my experiences, relationships, and countless inspirations to create a clothing brand. This brand became The GOOD LIFE Clothing Co.. This brand mirrors the great taste of an inner city native who knows how to stand out no matter the occasion, This is an exciting time for my brand as it’s gaining more recognition and attracting more consumers than ever before. It’s great to see an idea that has grown into what’s on display today. I’m very confident that this brand will be a timeless classic.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
When I think back to the start of my journey, there were many challenges. I was just a young guy with a passion for dressing fly. I had no idea how I was going to get anything made for myself nor to sell to others. I had to use one of the best qualities I had. Communicating and leaving a good impression. This has been a great skill and quality for me because it’s helped me learn from a lot of people and get opportunities I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten. These relationships I’ve developed and highly value have kept me in the game through my highs and lows. The people you surround yourself with will be your biggest asset!
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m looking to collaborate with a major retailer. When I say major I mean a retailer who has a national reach. I want to expand my reach and get my looks out all over the nation and eventually the world. If anyone is reading this and has interest or a contact. CALL ME! At least spread the word. Thanks in advance.
