Meet Joey Cook

We recently connected with Joey Cook and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Joey with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Growing up one thing my mother always taught me was if I wanted something I’m going to have to work for it. From that time on no matter what it was I always knew if I felt like I deserved something or pictured myself having something it wouldn’t just come my way unless i put in the work to have it. From this day on I still follow that lead by working hard at everything I do in order to get the results I want. With having that work ethic it has taught me nothing is worth having unless you put in true work to have it & when you truly do work hard for something it feels 100% better when it comes your way because that’s when you feel like your deserve it. I remember being younger and my mother and step father used to make me do house choirs or cut the grass if i wanted to go eat with my friends or even take my girlfriend to the movies. Never no handouts. Little things like that ill never forget but always appreciate more than they know. So I defiantly would say my hard work came from how my family especially my mother.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hello my name is Joey Cook managing partner of Cincinnati Entertainment Group. We manage and host events all over the Cincinnati area along with other cities as well! We just came off our biggest event of the summer, our all white party where we hosted for Gary Owen & Joe Mixon for their combined birthday celebration. We had over 600 guest come out. From networking with our cities top influencers between owners, promotion company, athletes, artist & more we make sure to do the same in every other city we host events in. Best part about this is when we travel to these cities or have VIP clients travel to these other cities you always know who to connect them with based off your experience working with them. We have big goals we want to reach with CEG but we do know it takes solid partnerships & relationships to make them happen! We’ve built great relationships with well know comedians like Gary Owen, athletes like Bengals running back Joe Mixon guys who know they can always trust our CEG team and count on us to execute events we host with them or come through on any hospitality needs they request. Working with any of our VIP clients we make sure to try to deliver on everything we promise and that’s something we take pride in especially hospitality. From hosting some of the biggest events in the city we also take pride in giving back to our community much as possible to make a difference in the younger kids life anytime we find an opportunity to do so with CEG. Always looking for partnerships on both sides from entertainment events to charity events. Our team is always ready to help execute your vision and bring it to life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three most important qualities, skills i would say that has been most impactful on my journey would be teamwork and collaboration with the right people/groups, professionalism and strong work ethic. Taking these three serious has helped me along the way with getting our foot in the door to collaborate and work with the people or groups we’ve always wanted to partner with. If you can learn to be professional at what you do, keep a solid work ethic & learn to team up with the right people who have the same work ethic as you the sky is the limit.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
With CEG we are always looking to partner with different groups of people & organizations around the city along with other cities as well. Rather its wanting to team up to host an fun or unique event for the city or rather its a opportunity to collaborate and do something for a charity that could use a extra help of hands or support we will love to chat if there is a way we can help! We are looking to expand our team soon also with promotion teams, content team & more! We enjoy motivated, hard working individuals who are looking to show their talents and represent a city the right way by coming together and leading by example! Ever interested in teaming up with CEG please feel free to reach out.
