Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to John Isaac. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
John, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I’ve always been the only person like me in any room. And it’s not because of my race, nationality, or gender—those don’t make me unique. I was born unique. So was every single person walking this earth.
What I bring is my own one-of-a-kind mix of thoughts, beliefs, opinions, insights, and perspective. I’ve always told people: when I walk into a room, the first episode of my reality show begins. If I meet a celebrity or someone considered “high profile,” sure—it’s nice to meet them. But honestly, it’s a pleasure for them to meet me, too. That’s not arrogance—it’s the understanding that there has never been, and never will be, another me.
That knowledge emboldens me to show up, contribute, and engage with anyone I encounter. I speak my mind without fear of judgment, because my self-worth doesn’t hinge on anyone’s validation. I love adding layers to conversations, tossing in the “but” and the “what if” that pushes people to think past the obvious.
People often say, “I’ve never met a person you didn’t like.” Truth? I’m just a good actor—because there are plenty. I just refuse to waste my energy on them.
I’ve been in rooms with Fortune 500 CEOs and major TV and movie personalities, and I’ve treated them the same way I treat anyone else—as my equal.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
You’ll usually find me in a hoodie, not a suit. I’ve removed the façade of business imperialism, so to speak. I shoot straight with the common man’s language, and I’m not chasing recognition or respect because of my business acumen. I help aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs turn ideas into real, sustainable businesses.
Over the years, I’ve worked hands-on with hundreds of founders — from solo bootstrappers to fast-growing startup teams — guiding them through everything from idea validation and product-market fit to branding, marketing, and launch strategy. My experience spans real-world consulting, educational content, and one-on-one coaching, all focused on helping people move from confusion to clarity in their business journey.
As the creator and host of A Random Podcast, I’ve guided hundreds of entrepreneurs through the process of launching their businesses — while drawing from my own experience building and growing multiple ventures across different industries.
Through my podcast episodes, website, and resources, I break down complex startup challenges into practical, proven steps that get results. I don’t teach theory — I teach what works, based on years in the trenches with real entrepreneurs building real businesses. Known for my “everyday Joe” approach, I connect with audiences in a way that’s relatable and real, blending experience with actionable insights that challenge conventional thinking, inspire action, and give entrepreneurs the confidence to move forward. If you’re ready to take your idea seriously and build something that lasts, you’re in the right place.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
This might sound a little unusual, but the qualities I value most in myself aren’t things I can take full credit for. Sure, I’ve worked hard to sharpen them, but I believe they were planted in me long before I knew what to do with them.
From a young age, I found I could speak in a way that connected with people — not because I was the smartest in the room, but because I spoke from the heart. I’ve also been blessed with a kind of favor I can’t explain. No matter where I go or who I meet, I seem to draw people in. And for reasons I’ll never fully understand, I’ve always been able to see and understand things quickly — even without someone walking me through the steps.
I don’t think these gifts make me better than anyone else. If anything, they make me more aware of my responsibility to use them to serve and help others.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely. I’m always open to collaborating with brands, platforms, and people who share my passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed. I’m especially interested in working with brands that serve entrepreneurs directly and provide tools, resources, or support that make their journey easier and more successful.
I’d also love to partner with like-minded media platforms and personalities who are committed to honestly educating and empowering entrepreneurs — especially those in the early stages who are trying to turn ideas into real, sustainable businesses.
If you’re reading this and it sounds like we’re aligned, I’d be happy to connect and explore ways we can create real value together. The best way to reach me is through my website https://www.arandompodcast.com/feedback and we can start the conversation from there.
