Meet Jojo Trumbly

We recently connected with Jojo Trumbly and have shared our conversation below.

Jojo , so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?
There’s no foolproof way to completely overcome burnout. It’s a constant challenge that every entrepreneur must face. I like to liken it to a NASCAR race. If the cars never stop in the pit for maintenance – changing tires, refueling, and so on – they would inevitably burn out. Sure, they might lead the race for a while, even celebrated for it, until they lose control and crash out. Your life is similar to a NASCAR car. You need to ‘pit stop’ regularly to keep going. This ‘pit stop’ could be anything that recharges your energy rather than draining it – taking a walk, going on vacation, watching your favorite TV show. It needs to be something for yourself and your sanity. Remember, being unproductive at times is also productive for your future productivity!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As the Chief Executive Officer of The NET Level Up Networking, my primary focus is on expanding our services and vision to empower small business owners. Networking has enabled my family to live a life we only dreamed of, and that is what inspires me to do what I do for The NET. What sets us apart is our commitment to the pillars of networking: Building with Integrity, Growing in Professionalism, and Serving through Commitment. Our NETwork is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs thrive by offering support in areas such as leadership skills, professional networking, self-discipline, mental health, team building, and personal and professional development. At The NET, we pride ourselves on exceeding member expectations and providing valuable business support, including assistance with business management, networking skills, client relations, and market expansion. Our members actively contribute to their local communities through volunteering, collaboration with non-profits, event hosting, and raising awareness.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, there are a few impactful lessons I’ve learned. The first, from fellow NET Pillar MaryAnn Adams, is to “practice the pause.” Whether it’s positive or negative feedback, or new ideas, always take a moment to pause. Don’t rush into decisions without thoughtful consideration. Delegation is another crucial lesson I’m still mastering. Trusting others to handle tasks allows for faster growth. You don’t have to do everything alone. Lastly, flexibility has propelled me forward. In today’s rapidly changing world, being open to pivoting is vital. Embrace possibilities and remain adaptable. Practicing the pause allows for thoughtful consideration, delegation enables tackling more, and flexibility ensures readiness for whatever comes your way.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m constantly seeking collaboration with fellow business owners. I’m looking for individuals committed to elevating their businesses for long-term growth. We value those who prioritize building lasting relationships that foster job opportunities and creation. Our company embodies integrity, professionalism, and commitment, so we seek potential members who uphold these standards.
