Hi Jonathan, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m an independent musician & aspiring entrepreneur/ actor from Louisiana. I founded my own independent label Dreamsweeper Music Group after not having many avenues or available opportunities to distribute my product to the world. I’ve been featured on my local radio station four times & I’ve recorded & released 11 independent albums along with 11 EP’s & 58 singles

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge I believe were the most impactful on my journey were worth ethic, resilience, & I wouldn’t define it as a skill but my ability to know I’m going to be treated the worse by the people I’m going to be called to come back & help. It’s inevitable & human nature. It’s the same ole story with just a different name & face attached to it. Most people don’t believe then say you changed when you make it. The best advice I would give someone is know that the hatred, jealousy & envy isn’t directly about you. It’s something internally the person directing that towards you is dealing with. It takes courage to build something from nothing, grow & nurture it while everyone’s talking about you because they secretly want to do the exact same thing but don’t have the courage too. The last two things I would say & most important were my ability to learn & my humility.
Treating people right will take you a long ways in life.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Overcoming my recent suicide attempt on 2/13/22 while managing a independent record label & upstart merch line in a industry & shifting society that doesn’t care one bit about talent only popularity. But when we allow the incompetent to lead because of popularity where does that put us as a society?
