We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jordan Goodman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jordan below.
Hi Jordan, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I was fortunate enough to develop a deep and intimate relationship with myself very early on. As a kid, I recognized how naturally I identified with the impressions music, creativity, and storytelling made on myself and others—these weren’t and didn’t simply feel like hobbies, they were my lifelines. Following that thread from adolescence into adulthood gave me my first understanding of what it meant to truly resonate with something, to feel [called] rather than simply interested. As I grew, I realized that those early impulses were more than recognized interests and talents; they were my currents. These were the parts of the self that felt most real.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a musical artist and storyteller exploring the intersections of sound, language, thought, and emotion. I recently completed my debut project, In Between the Faults of Mine, a body of work that evolved over three years. It’s my most personal exploration yet—a modern blend of R&B, jazz, spirit, love, and the spaces between. The project is a sonic reflection of my inner world, a place where I’ve met with creative alchemy, memory, and emotion all coexisting.
Beyond music, I’m building a creative life that moves through multiple dimensions—architecture and design, literature, lifestyle, and the unseen layers of human experience. At 29, my focus is on creating work that feels honest, spiritually liberating, and reson. As I move through my art, I hope to embod a kind of light source, hoping the frequency I create brings people closer to themselves. This is the foundation of the brand and the world I’m creating.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, the most impactful quality I developed was a deep and honest relationship with myself. Learning to understand the self, the emotion, the spirit within and how to navigate them gave me the clarity and fluidity I needed to move through life with intention. Another is being intentional and honest about what I want, staying clear of my goals, and taking steps that align with them. I’ve also learned the importance of trusting the process, even when the landscape isn’t fully visible, or understood, or ideal, and leaning on my own judgment and insight to navigate challenges.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Several books have had a profound impact on my development. I’d like to give an honorable mention to bell hooks’ All About Love, which reminds us that love—both for ourselves and others—is an active practice that requires honesty, intention, and courage. Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates offered a deeply personal exploration of identity, history, and the responsibility of existing in a world that doesn’t always reflect your truth; it taught me the importance of reflection and claiming your narrative. Creative Alchemy by Seven Bronner showed me that transformation—both creative and personal—is a process of blending intention, experimentation, and trust in yourself. Finally, Astrological Insight and Guide to Relate to Others on a Smart Planet by Liz Greene helped me understand the interplay between inner consciousness and how we engage with the world, reminding me that awareness of ourselves and others is a lifelong practice. Together, these books have shaped how I approach my art, my relationships, and my life—with curiosity, integrity, and courage.
