Jordan, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I am constantly keeping my creativity alive by ensuring that I always make time to create for myself. Creativity is an expression of joy, so to focus your creativity only for profit, is to deprive yourself of joy. I don’t want that for myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the creator and host of The Halfaday Show. The Halfaday Show is a talkshow centered around pop culture, global affairs, and Black creativity. Since starting the show in 2020 formally, I have expanded the brand into a media production company (Halfaday LLC). Halfaday houses my content, and visual, audio, and content direction for creatives and business around the Washington, DC metro area. I have a non traditional background in media so my approach to the business of entertainment is abstract, but my attention to detail and professionalism are some of my strongest skills.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three skills that are most impactful on my journey are humility, discipline, and confidence. The three balance each other equally to create an optimal space for ideation and execution. The best advice I can give for folksk early in their journey is to learn how to take criticism, but also when to refuse it. Some folks who appear they want to help me actually harm you in the long run and vice versa.

I am looking to collaborate with more business owners, and young creatives. I am a talkshow host, so anyone with a story or insight is welcome on my platform.
