We recently connected with Jordan Pratt and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I was raised in Uniontown, PA a place where opportunity and resources are almost non existent. My mom was able to raise three smart, driven, and caring kids by herself, all while working three jobs to keep a roof over our heads. At times taking in cousins who needed to live with us for a while. This taught me hard work. I want and need to change the family dynamic for generations.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My story starts in Eastside of Uniontown, Pa a small town south east of Pittsburgh. Many may know it, some may not. Being raised in a place like Uniontown will give you a hunger and motivation to want more for you and your family. I think what separated me was staying consistent on my dream to achieve something. I went to college graduated with a business degree but college wasnt a place for me. I always felt in my heart that I would start a business or work on big tech with silicone valley like teams. Fast forward to 2025 I’m living my dream. Full time entrepreneur helping residential and commercial clients with seamless moving and cleaning solutions, we have helped hundreds of clients in the city of Pittsburgh. My love for sharing knowledge and bringing people together in a “silicone valley” way is being achieved through my organization Bridge City Connections. A success and support hub for entrepreneurs and young professionals. We organize events and resources for the people. We created a members dashboard and had 13 months of consecutive social business networking events where we have panelist, workshops and networking provided at high levels! If I would look back 10 years ago I would be looking at a 19 year old who wanted to be in the very position I’m in now. It’s humbling because often we can want to be somewhere new. AND THATS OKAY TOO. My mission is to 100x everything I am doing now and would love to do it with incredibly talented, educated, caring and collaborative people to bring true change and positive impact through business! We have another event coming up February 27th and you can find the info on our website. We host the last Thursday of every month!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Mindset. Mindset. Mindset.
Coming from a small, limited mindset place. You need to quickly find role models or a group of people to help change your mindset to think Rich instead of Poor.
It’s hard to break harmful habits that you may not even know are there.
Be around good people and be a sponge to good lifestyles
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We are looking for people who want to change and impact the world. Are not afraid of barriers of entry or challenges they may arise during our journey. At Bridge City Connections we are barrier breakers and are creating a culture of highly motivated stars that also bring their own talents and ideas!
